Well it's not so much a minimum but look at it this way: you won't get 50 hours as commander in 3 games. Do the math. 50 hours total as commander, and the 3 to 1 win/loss ratio BEFORE getting 45 commander points in a round. It will take alot of matches to get the 50 hours, and by then you should be near or at the 3 to 1 ratio anyway.

*EDITED* Since noobs misunderstood my post and thought I was referring to the 45 commander points as the last requirement.

I've found the best way to get 45 or more is to play a 32-64 man map with only half the players in it.  This makes your score go up faster and makes sure the round lasts longer so you have the neccesary time for your team to get the average score of 45.

First off, congrats on getting it, I wondered if anyone had.

I find the ribbon to be a pain in the ass for anyone planning to try and get a lot of medals, mainly because:

1. When people first start, they don't bother to look up the badge requirements, so someone just starting could do bad and be 15:50 in the hole.

2. The badge depends on you as a team, not yourself. You could always, play a map like karkand and cap a base quickly, destroying point depletion, but it's hard to do that at the same time as being commander.

3. You have to change around your playing style. I personally love just fighting at the first three bases on karkand 32. I only cap if I feel the need to for defense purposes or if no one's around. Otherwise I fight.

If you ask me, it'd be a lot better if the ribbon required a 2:1 win/loss ratio, making it possible for anyone dedicated enough to earn it, even if they have like a .40 win/loss ratio.

45 commander points is easy just go into a 32 player server with a high ticket ratio.
Or play operation clean sweep as MEC commander. I did that once, and it was easy to defend, lasted about half an hour, and I must've earn atleast 150 points (after the double).  8)

I agree.  2:1 would be MUCH more practicle and I and alot of other people would have this ribbon or at least of gotten ALOT earlier.  Will EA change this?  Probably not.

You never know...they did alter the rank structure, after all.

Yeah, you never know, but think about this.  The sharp shooter infantry award requirements, I beleive, are the hardest.  You have to have expert in every class and to have expert you have to have 100 hours in that class.  So right off the bat you need AT LEAST 700 hours playtime, but on top of that you also have to get your expert pistol and knife which IMO are extremly difficult in thier own sense.  I've seen maybe 5 or 6 people with this award, and thats after you consider that it was nerfed by the new ranking/award point system as well.  The WCR did not change.  If it was going to I think it would have by now.

Point of order, but the medals didn't change, either.

The requirements for the Combat/Marksman/Sharpshooter Infantry medals weren't changed when they fiddled with the rank requirements...they are the same as they were pre-1.03.  True, though, that the WCR did stay the same while a few of the other ribbons were altered.

Don't matter much to me...I'll never see 700 hours of play time total, much less 700 with just 7 kits.  Not to mention, I'll never even try for Expert Knife, since it's so pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Are you sure?  I could have sworn that the expert class badges were set at like 500 hours or something, which would have made the SIM obtainable at 3,500 hours.

Expert Badges required 500 hrs but not anymore (since patch)

Now you need X kills in 1 round with that kit only.

To be honest, I can't remember if the expert badges' requirements changed or not.  The medals themselves remained the same...if the Expert Badge requirements were lowered, then yeah, you are correct, it would have made the SIM easier to get.  I know the SIM's requirements itself did not change.

But I see where you're coming from now.  While the medals themselves did not change, if they did lower the targets for the expert badges, the SIM's requirements would become lower as a result.  Mystery solved, hopefully...carry on

WCR is a terrible ribbon that promotes team stacking and team switching. It should be removed or a better anti-team switching and stacking system needs to be created, but then noone would be able to get this ribbon because in a fair setting all everyones W/L ratio would average out 1:1.

I can only play on Australian (I think) servers.... Game Arena... because these are the only ones where the ping rates are low enough for me to stay on for the whole game. These servers dont allow team switching. So there are days when i join midway in a game and I'm placed in the side thats already losing by almost 100 tickets. Now that is frustrating....

IMO WCR requirement should stay as it is. It is one of those special awards that should retain a sense of eliteness.
