Ive noticed that for some of the awards I have not recieved, I have a darkened line underneath them. What does that represent?

That means you are now qualified to receive that award, once you get the IAR requirements.

It means you have any global requirements to get the award. If the award has no global requirements (IE the ground defense ribbon) then it will show that award. Basically it means you just have to fulfill any IAR requirements.
