Hi,
Always iused the onboard sound (AC97) in BF2 up to now but as I got hold of a basic Audigy (1) internal PCI card I thought I'd give this a spin.
Downloaded latest drivers from Creative and all is fine and quality / depth of sound in bf2 is improved using the Audigy and having EAX enabled. There is however one problem. I don't hear my own gun! I hear everything else perfectly and can even hear my own bullets hitting surrounding objects but silence from the gun itself. Doesn't matter which kit I use - everything has the same fault.
Have played around with the settings on the BF2 options panel but without any improvement. Before I revert to the on board sound has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?
TIA
