Hi everybody got back from school today and needed to use my computer. Only to find out that the monitor wasn't receiving a signal from my video card. I'm running a ATI Radeon X1600 pro 512mb card, I've already switched out monitors to make sure that wasn't the problem. I've also erased all ATI files, folders, programs, etc. from my computer and tried to re-install the card, but this didn't work. I've had the card for little over a year and I hope it's not broken, so I figured I'd see if anyone had any tips for me. Thanks in advance.
Just when playing BF2, or you mean no picture whatsoever even booting windows or posting the BIOS ?

So the other monitor works or no?

I used a different monitor
Actually its rather strange but, I had to leave my house for a period of an hour and when I got back I decided to hit the power button again and the computer came back up no problem. All I did was completely erase any ATI files on my computer, so I guess all it needed was time to reset, strange how Windows works sometimes. So for now I think the problem is fixed, but just to be sure I'll leave my computer on for a while.
I have the factory warranty of 1 yr. but, I think it was a software conflict. I found a few websites that stated Microsoft Update will cause problems for ATI and Nvidia cards when updating drivers through them. So I'm hoping by rolling back my drivers to the original ATI website based ones the problem will disappear.
Is it a viewsonic? I've had issues with those where they would go into standbye mode and wouldn't come out. The only way I could get them to work was to turn the monitor on first, then immediately turn on the computer. The other way around (computer, then monitor) wouldn't work.

No its a hp although I used a smaller, older viewsonic earlier in the day and it had similar results. I'm pretty confident in saying that this was just a driver conflict with my card.
