hmm, none of the intel, asus, gigabyte or dfi mobos that i am aware of spin the cpu fan after shutdown. you would think that they would know how to build them. if your fans really spin (have you checked it actually or do you just hear a noise) you must be an exception. never seen anything like it. again if you could show me any product anywhere that supports this, that would be helpfulDSRTurtle wrote:

It may dependant on the motherboard design for the CPU. But all the "new" boards should spin for a couple of minutes to continue to cool the CPU/GPU. By new I mean anything newer than 3 years old, as my board is over 3 years old.
