I just installed Windows Vista on my computer and have been testing out all the software I have to see if it works before upgrading for sure. I was positive that BF2142 Beta wouldn't work but gave it a shot anyway. To my surprise, it installed perfectly and sure enough I was ready to go after a quick process. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but I just pulled up the key code again from my email and redid the activation process.
Not until I was playing did I start to wonder why the key worked. I was surprised since I was sure the activation process was sure to keep me from sharing the key with other people. Anyway, I was pretty happy that I was able to install it and can now play the beta in Vista as well.
So, anyone care to explain why this worked? Was it cause it was on the same computer? Was it cause I activated the first time on Beta 1 and when Beta 2 and the new release of keys came around they reset the activations? Hmm.
