He used his particular approach for personal gain, NOT for furtherance of conservation. Many others have done far more work for wildlife conservation by less selfish methods. The scene of him holding his child in the crocodile pen showed exactly what type of egotistical arsewipe the guy was.

Generally I wouldn't speak ill of the dead, but get this in perspective and, unless you are family or friend then for goodness sake SHUT THE FUCK UP!

By the way, to the twat who claimed earlier in this thread that the episode with his child was not dangerous because the great man himself deemed it safe, so a freak accident can happen with a relatively harmless stingray, yet Steve Irwin was soooo knowledgeable about crocs that such a freak accident could never happen!

The idiot should have been locked up for child abuse years ago. Talk about crocodile tears!
