Do this at your own risk.
Removing Ad/Spy ware
Install and use these programs:
Ad-Aware® SE Personal Edition also install the VX2 Add-on Cleaner
Spybot Search & Destroy
CWShredder
Run them in SAFE MODE if you can or if you can't then run them in normal mode.
You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.
If this fails or asks you which device to boot from Go to Start> Run> Type msconfig> Go to BOOT.INI Tab> Select /SAFEBOOT then hit apply and Ok and choose to reboot. Just do the same to get out of safemode by unselecting /SAFEBOOT from the same tab.

Searching For Suspected/Rogue spyware/malware programs
Visit the following site and REMOVE/UNINSTALL any program you have that is listed on this site.
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
Several of these programs actually install "Spyware/Adware" on your system. Others are just poorly made or are just found to be problematic. Beside each one is a description on why you should remove it.
Run Hijackthis and create a log
Pm me the log and I'll review it for you.(DO NOT do this in safe mode)
DO NOT REMOVE ANY ENTRIES WITH OUT ASKING ME FIRST!!!!!!!!
Sorry for the caps but I wont be responsible for your PC getting screwed, this program can trash your system if you don't know what your doing.
Hijackthis
How to prepare before you run the scan and create the log
Make sure the hijackthis program is updated and in it's own folder on the root drive (C:\HJT).
If you are using msconfigs selective startup please make sure EVERYTHING in the startup tab is checked cause I need to see everything listed there.
(Click Start>>Run>>Type in msconfig. Once that loads open the STARTUP tab. Make sure there is a check mark in every box in the list. Click APPLY. Or you can select "Normal Startup-load all device drivers and services" under the General tab. You may be asked to REBOOT. do so.)
Make sure you close down EVERY open window and close ALL browser windows. The only thing that should be open is the Hijackthis program.
Remember only create a log. Then open the log it creates in notepad and send it to me in a PM.
You can post the log in this topic if you like but you run the risk of being informed to do something that will mess up your computer. I will not be held responsible for this, nor will I help you resolve an issue cause by what someone else told you to do.
Good Luck
