MX518 won't work

I just got a MX518 and the scroll wheel does not work. I can click it, but can not scroll up and down. I did everything in the Support answer- installed the drivers, uninstalled the drivers, tried different programs, and messed around with the settings but it won't scroll.
Can anyone help?

go into settings for the logitech thing then click on the tab on the left that says mouse game settings....then check all the boxes

It's not that, the scroll wheel won't work at all, not just in games

And i got this mouse for free stop telling me to buy a new one

Damn, that sucks. I just bought one and didn't install anything...it works like a charm. One of the best mice I have ever ownded. I take that back...it is the BEST mouse I have ever owned. Those wireless suckasses can kiss my ass.

I use one of these mice and they are superb!!!,it simply sounds faulty,take it back because once u game with one,u will feel the force young skyw...oh,just return it.

a few things you can try.

uninstall the software. unplug the mouse. install the software while using a different mouse. plug your mouse.

goto START | Config Screen | Printers and other hardware | Mouse | Click the tab "Scrollwheel" | set it to scroll 3 rows a time.

thats what fixed it for a friend.

I use the MX518 and love it. The first unit I received had the same problem as yours. The scroll wheel would only work sporadically. I simply called Logitech, and spoke to a really friendly rep. She sent me a brand new unit and didn't even make me send back the one with the broken scroll. The new one they sent me has worked great for about three months.

You bought a dud, it does happen, return it and i bet everything is kool. Best mouse i've ever bought.I should get a check for turning people on to this mouse. Wish I bought 2.
