Straight to the point... yesterday bf2 played like a dream, stable servers, no CTD's, no problem with connections... ect... but just 5 mins ago i took bf2 off my comp, and for good (atleast until its playable again) 1.4 was a complete lie, all today ive had server crashes, CTD's and the server browser was just as useless as it was in 1.3 ...EA/dice cant code one little online game can they?... its quite sickening how we were promised literarily patches ago that nasty bugs/glitches would be stamped out... i was one of those extremely few believing and always sticking with EA/dices words that theyd get bf2 back to how it was, playable and fun... i mean...how stupid was i?? - sorry, just had to let some steam off!!

and just to justify, theres no problems with my computer or copy of the game and patch at all... i even took precautions of having to download the full 1.4 patch from ea's official site after fully uninstalling bf2, de-fragging my computer and installing my copy of bf2 again.

...anyways i only just joined bf2s but it looks like i'll be leaving anything bf2 related already, gutted i know.

just wondered, what are your thoughts? any1 else been through the same circumstances as me or is any1 out there going to have to strongly disagree with the problems im coming across or actions im taking?

but yes. I've uninstalled it and I'm going to reinstall it and path to 1.12 and do some blackhawk dominating with spawn and elmo

I think i got all the patches somewhere on my hardrive, but i'm not gonna revert back until i get extremely bored.

1.4 is fine for me, played all day yesterday without a CTD or connection loss (1.3 servers were crashing every couple hours). Road to Jahalabad is a awesome map.

Maybe its the server you were playing on.

No more CTDs,but still connection problems.
I just get disconnected in the middle of the round(sometimes it's a few people at once),but the server stays on and the round keeps going.
So the points are safe,only problem is when you rejoin and are forced to take the other team then.

Could be the servers,I play TV2 24/7 servers,pick the map of my choice and change server/map after a few rounds or a disconnect.

But all in all is 1.4 ok,better than 1.3 in terms of CTD problems and the anti-prone-spam-delay isn't that bad(doesn't affect me at all and makes combat more interesting than the hoppy-hoppy-shit).

well my first time playing i noticed that what they said they fixed they didn't, i still see the red glitch

and i still see the zombie glitch(lost my SS but if i get one ill post!!) i have been randomly killed by some guy on the other side of the map as i spawn, wish i caught that on fraps. i pretty sicken from what Ive seen, they have delayed the patch for so long and nothing has improved much. well i better get back to playing Project Reality

hmmm yeah... cheers for the feedback guys... i did notice 1.4 had less connection problems and CTD's but the thing is people, EA/Dice said that these problems were fixed in 1.4 as so stated in the updated readme file, and it isn't. pathetic.

and another thing, OMG i forgot to mention the new bugs i found the other night! - i was unable to change camera view in a vehicle, this happened alomost every time i jumped into a humvee! appauling.

the camera view bug u r talkin bout isnt new, i had it happen to me while playin patch 1.3.  its not that bad of a bug anyways.

oooo tht camera bug pre patch 1.4? ahh wel ill let em off there then for creating new bugs...and actually that camera bug is a real bitch when your in the gunner compartment of a chopper, you cant see a damn thing.

I haven't had any problems with 1.4, I think its fine, I really didn't noticed any changes besides the addition of the new level.  But again this is a free game you don't pay for it there are always going to be problems.  For all of you waiting on Bf2142 it is going to be the same thing there will be hackers, bugs, desktop crashes, and a whole slew of its own problems, some of you are just to critical.

Definitely not a fatal bullet.  BF2 has worked great for me for quite some time now.  1.3 really messed things up on the server side for awhile, but those issues were addressed.  At least on the servers I frequently play on.  My PC is a year old solid system, but not an uber gaming rig by any means.

1.4 has not hurt gameplay for me at all.  No red bug, no CTD.  Love the new map, too.  Unistalling the game is a bit extreme.  BF2 has the best multiplayer action of any FPS game out there, imo.  Why miss out on that?  Sorry to hear you've had some trouble, but I wouldn't hang it up just yet.
