compare the victims of gunfights in the usa with the number in germany. and then compare the laws on guns. if every asshole can have a gun, there will be some assholes, who will use them. so prohibition is the best protection against being shooted.

you should watch "bowling for columbine" and think about it...

Not a good comparison. there are Germans in Germany. we have a welfare culture of people who have never held a job or paid their own way.

Does this happen all the time in Germany ?

NEW YORK (AP) -- A girl walking through a park found a baby lying in the grass, police said.

The baby, less than a day old, was wearing a light blue outfit and a pink bonnet. She was wrapped in a white blanket that said, "Thank Heaven for little girls."

Paramedics, who took the baby to a hospital, said Thursday she appeared to be in good health.

Police were looking for her parents[i]
If we sent Germany the results of the USA's fail liberal experiments they'd have murders too.[\i]

it is a good comparison, because we also have social conflicts, crime and violence.
the point is, that it isn´t easy to get a gun here. you can get some, but you have to proof, that you have never committed crimes, you can only pull them out on the shooting range and at home you have to lock them in a safe (separated from the ammunition).

i don´t mind about guns in the hands of responsible people. but if it is too easy, for maniacs and assholes to get them, they should better prohibit them. you´re talking about self-defense against armed attackers. you only need a gun then, because the attacker bought it easily too.

i don´t know the actual statistics, but i´ve heard, that even with similar laws, the canadians don´t have so many gunvictims, compared to the us. is ist more a psychological problem? do americans feel more  threatened?

Some people find toddlers wandering around and babies in the garbage there too?

Ps the Bronx is 1 of 5 borros in New York City which is on city of fifty states. Any place with goverment projects and slums.

I was not saying Germany didn't have problems, look what happen the first time you tried Gun Control circa 1930

I am saying all our crime is created by these people and there is nothing you can do about it by hindering law abiding, honest, taxpaying citizens.

That approach is a Feel good, " look how hard I am fighting crime " tactic, that low life politicians use to make cheap headlines.

Like the "Assault Rifle Ban " Assault rifles were Never EVER for sale in the U.S.A. and anyone who thinks they were is a dunce or a liar.

Abraham Lincoln said You can fool some of the people all the time.

Albert- my arguement isn't that if you're carrying a gun you're *more likely to commit a crime*.

My argument is that if you carry a gun and "something happens" - (whether it's you're placed in a dangerous situation by others such as trying to mug you, or you put yourself in a dangerous situation such as by checking out why there's alarms ringing at the bank, or if you just plain ol' freak out when your brand new 911 Carrera 4 is rear-ended by some driver too busy yaking on his cell phone to pay attention to his speed) if you have a gun on you, someone is more likely- whether it's a criminal, a completely innocent bystander, yourself, your family- whoeever! - someone is more likely to get hurt, and more likely to get hurt seriously, because there are guns in the hands of far more people than if gun control is limited to law enforcement officials and other professionals.
Sure, fine, I agree that that is your opinion.  My opinion and my experience with firearms has led me to believe otherwise, when I carry, if I got rear ended i am MORE likely to be nice and calmer to assess the situation at hand.  I am MORE likely to back away from dangerous situations, my first and foremost priority is to not get in those situations, my last resort is my firearm or if I am in immediate danger.  Whats wrong with that again?  Most people who carry either train very hard themselves and very adequately or are professionally trained....only 5% of Adult Americans carry a firearm outside their home.  Most of them are trained, I'm not worried about that, but I do understand your general concern, and I can speak for most firearm enthuiasts and those carrying, that we are more likely to de-escalate situations and be more polite.  Why? Because than everyone is happy.  I fail to see any error in that.  On the other hand some people should not be carrying firearms and I think there should be a test when you apply for a CPL/CHL/CCW, that would show your understanding of the law, and than those people that you have mentioned can be held (more) accountable.

LOL, what a croc, there are so many holes in that film, I can't even begin to explain it, he uses too many facts out of context and straight up lies on occasion just to get an effect.

Prohibition is not the answer, it would increase gun related violent crime, (What happened with Prohibition again??)

Leave theses sad sorry people alone. They live to panic, cower and mourn.

Life seems very different to people like us dosn't it?

GTG I am taking my two newly adopted boys to see a WWI Aircraft Airshow.

Maybe you should try and ban those?

Queens police were investigating who left a healthy infant boy on the steps of the 103rd Precinct stationhouse in Jamaica. An officer making a routine stationhouse security check about 9 p.m. Saturday found the days-old infant in a large, black, diaper bag, wrapped in a yellow blanket."This is not a case where we're doing a big manhunt and trying to arrest someone," a spokesman said. "We are concerned about the mother."The 2000 Safe Haven law allows a person to bring a newborn to a representative of a police station, firehouse or hospital and leave the child with no questions

I tried, through several attempts (dear god let the fat fuck hire someone else to narrate the next one, his voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard), and think I have seen most of it, within ten minutes of my last viewing (that time I had watched the part with the NRA convention) I had joined the NRA

While people LIKE Michael Moore deserve credit for bringing up questions about certain things he does not do anything for documentarists (sp?), he routinely uses quotes out of context, and MAKES things up that aren't even true.
