On my Internet explorer i tried to download patch 1.4 but it won't let me. Any ideas guys?

Where are you downloading from?
There are options on IE to stop downloads its on the security tab under custom in the internet options(this may be in a diffrent place for you though I have IE 7 I havent used 6 in a while).
this could also be to a security program setup to tight(Norton, Mcafee, what ever).
