I reinstalled bf2 onto a new hdd and this patch has been causing me issues.  I downloaded two diffrent copies of the full 1.4 patch, 500+ megs so i know its the full, and installed but the game still tells me its running 1.1.2 when i check the version in game.

Ive rebooted and reinstalled the patch.  I am at a total loss as to what to do now.  Any advice would help greatly.

just a thought...

maybe you're computer thinks you have 1.1.2 and wants you to install the incrmental patch,  even though the 500mb patch should overwrite anything and work fine.

hrmm ill try the incri patch and see if that does something.

check the community tab  then custom games to see if its 1.4 ignore the number in the top right corner

if i could give you karma i would!

I checked the community tab and it clearly says 1.4 and the server listing is a bit more exstensive then the 1.1.2 server listing so im super happy i can play again.  Thank you SOOO MUCH!
