I know this is probably wrong of me, but I need help and this IS related to 1.4 ......

I just got the SF disks. when you install them they try to patch your BF2 from 1.0 to 1.1. do I need the full 1.0 -> 1.4 patch for this or do I have to do all the incrimental ones from 1.1 through 1.4? I'm sorry for the double post but I'm so confused....

Just install the full 1.4 patch and you will be fine m8.

basically, IMO, you should uninstall everything, reinstall BF2, BF2SF, then patch it to 1.4.
I say this because i find that many of the problems can be fixed with that. Then again, you can just try to do the full 1.4 patch and see if that fixes anything.

excellent, thank you so much guys! just to confirm this is the order of the day.....

1) Uninstall everything
2) Install BF2
3) Install BF2:SF
4) Install FULL 1.0 -> 1.4 patch
5) Enjoy

Does that sound about right....

that is only if installing full 1.4 patch doesnt solve problem first. but yes, that is the jist of it
