This is taken from the EA BF2 website. From a recent annoucement.

This is your opportunity to continue building your legacy in a whole new Battlefield! Veterans also receive an exclusive in-game indicator of their Veterans status and a special verbal taunt in BF2 together with patch 1.4.

Has this actually happened. Ive signed up for veteran status and not noticed anything in my BF2 change.
Could it be a mistake by EA where they should have put 2142 instead of BF2???

I think you have to wait until the release of 2142 for your veteran status to go live, then you'll get the taunt, although how they'll acheive that I have no idea.

I can't see that being a typo, not the whole "in BF2 together with patch 1.4." bit.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I tried it, but they said that my BF2 account was wrong. There is no way in hell my BF2 account was wrong... i tried it like 5 times before I gave up and played soemthing else...

I ended up using some old AIM account of mine to register "HurricaneV2". Assholes wouldn't let me register some other things that definetly weren't taken... usually with "Unspecified error"

It's fucking DB search and insert, how many errors could there be?
