I got BF2 a few weeks after its initial release, and I've been playing it off and on since (a simple review of my stats will prove that). I work full time, go to school, and attempt to maintain a social life so the time I can devote to the game is limited (there are other games I play as well). While I was annoyed having to re-install BF2 completely in order to update to 1.4 properly I was very happy to see that every minute playing since then has been the best since I got the game.
- I'm happy that EA/Dice have taken care of most bugs/exploits.
- I'm happy that they have given us another map, even if it's not that awesome.
- I'm happy that I was able to play for 3 hours straight without a single problem on multiple different servers.
Those of you complaining over the vagaries that certain strategies are broken/made worse need to relax. It's just a game. Most of you are tenacious enough that'll you'll figure out a way to be masters of the battlefield again and continue to make amateurs like me fight for the few points we get.
You don't like the decisions EA/Dice are making? Tough. I seriously doubt that those tagging EA/Dice as "stupid", "dumb", "idiotic", etc could do any better. If you have a legit complaint write to them and give them a good reason to listen to you; otherwise you are just making noise.
