If you install the patch, you can only play on 1.4. You can't play on 1.4 w/ 1.3 patch installed. Duh.

I downloaded and installed the beta adn i had to start all over again but do i have to uninstall the beta before i can patch the real 1.4?

Got the patch but my ping is really high-why is that? I checked a lot of servers but wherever i went there was high ping. And another thing- my prone is delayed(WTF). Anyone else has the same problems?

for those with usenet access you can find the full 1.4 patch on alt.binaries.games and alt.binaries.cd.image.games

For a clean install uninstall BF2 do a reg clean and start installing it again.
Before you unistall save your profile folder which is found C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\Battlefield 2 If you do this it will save your key bindings, video settings, sound settings and no friggin little man tellyou how to get in a APC.

Downloading the incremental patch now, at 55%. I suppose all the ribbon award bugs are still there?
just wanted to commend BF2S.com as I d/led the full 1.4 in 12 mins with a 690 kbs download speed using the USA mirror,Thnx BF2S.com.going to do a defrag and install this puppy and hit the battlefield...
