Well quite simply EA have broke a part of the trading standards act, they have sold goods that are not fit for the purpose they are advertised for (online play) theres a rule somewhere where it limits periods offline to like 5 hours unless there has been a major problem in which case they have to release a press statement. Ill try and find it but it does exist in the age of online laws etc.. all linked together im not happy though, ive only just started playing and was getting really in to it!

Oh dear fuck this is annoying me. I can't remember the last time something like this pissed me off so much. Trust EA to provide this to us, what a load of mother fuckin crap. Not only do they manage to ruin patches, servers, and create the option to punish for a teamkill, they fuck up there own server!! The only thing right they've done is released the game, SORT IT OUT!

Its very annoying readin that u cant complain for 40 bucks man, its 40 bucks for every single dude among 1 million people that bought this game so if EA cant provide a service they should not sell it cos they can not handle a population of 1 million gamers when they are considered the biggest game software company in all fuckin world.

if you are patient enought you can play ... for me it is app. 5-6 minutes... so i got shower and game was logged in ...

same here and i got 2 coms both with bf2 loaded, cept my son can play on his account and i cant use mine....only difference is he doesnt have BFSF on his account so maybe the problem is with accounts which have the new game loaded ...maybe not doesnt make sense..took 5 days for my stats to upload then i cant get online???????....fucks sake sorry for language!!!

What's mostly pissing me off isn't the downtime itself, but the fact we're not getting any official word from EA. Even a 'We're total retards, and we apologize for the inconvenience.' would do. Bah. Talk about cheesy customer support.

1 - Wait for the problem to be fixed
2 - Wait the loading times / Sometimes they are 5min,20mins or even a crash
3 - Make an offline account and enjoy the game with bots
EDIT: Oh I cant wait to hear EA's response to this. Or maybe non at all...

ugh great this has been going on for hours now this is getting too frustrating!!!
I now have some probs, but workable...
I find that after i get logged on, i unload the play now resources, goto multiplayer find one server and stay in it. I now get 'freezes' when i try to disconnect frm a server.
also NO BFHQ, that for me is a garaunteed lock-up

I waited about 12 minutes, and entered the PGP server. I thought "hey, it works" but after about 10 minutes I hear the drum roll (YESSSSS !!! Sgt. major of the corps !!... rofl ) but only to discover I earned the "Distinguished service ribbon" - which I did eaons ago..
Guys - I DO recommend to wait. obviously the stats system is fu#% up. It would be a damn shame if you play for hrs, and your stats wont update.
I'm *SURE* EA is on that thing. especially after reading some of the more "sophisticated" replies over there.
stay still for now. I cant even imagine how I'd feel after playing 3 hrs - and none registered.

this is crap.... i love BF2 but it has got thousand bugs. slow updates, EA can't do (cause they are stupid) anything to solve the problems AND NOW WITHT THE 1.12 MY GRAPHIC CARD IS WORKING HARD TO MAKE ME PLAY!! glad I just bought a $400 videocard with the intentions of playing BF2 all weekend $#*!&^! I guess it's back to getting my ass handed to me in Counter Strike Source... or maybe some UT2004... maybe I will just have to go socialize with lifeforms (shudder!)

After buying this game i've had like 6 major bugs/problems and this is the present one, there is no chance in hell that i will ever buy a game from EA again!!
Oh I hate EA now more than ever (and I hated it damn much before). Well I waited 10 mins and it loged in and I was like "wow finaly it's working". I loaded map and started playing, everything looks fine. My rank was working but my unlocks wasn't. Well I thought that so what. It's anyways better to play without unlocks. Well then I got basic assault badge and 2 ribbons in half round and I was like "WTF?!" and then there came "your connection to account server has been lost". Yeah right.. I played half round and I think that even that score won't include to my global score (well it was so much in half round but so what, it's maxim thing ffs!). And now I have no interesting to wait that 10 (or maybe more) minutes to log in again and then play and notice few days later that my score didn't include to my global one. So if any of EA guys are redin this please sit down, set your spectacles to on your eyes and read this slowly and accurately:
