Im building a new computer.

MuseSeeker: 2142 Soldier: Behenaut; +110|7078|EUR

After the sudden and painful death of my graphic card, I decided it was a sign from god for me to make a new computer. The great exodus from AGP to PCI-E.

Im selling my ASrock AGP motherboard and AMD 3200 Processor on ebay as well as my 2 sticks of 512mb ram.
This should help me raise some funds for my dream pc.

Ive chosen some components already all I need is a Processor, Motherboard, Ram + and Ive decided to pick up the graphic card last because I will not have enough for it.

Processor: AMD ATHLON 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core 2ghz

Ram: (I want 2) Just some crucial. 2x 1gig

Graphic card: 7800gt / 7900 gt sounds good? Also is the 7600 powerfuller 6800gt?

I think this setup would be pretty decent and how will it handle games such as BF2

My BFG 7600GT OC handles BF2 pretty well, at frames like 70-80 in vBF2, and 40-50ish in SF. I only have 1 gig of ram though, so if you had two your frames would boost higher. It plays all other games well, it plays HL1 games obviously, plays HL2 games with 60-150fps, high of 300, low of 50. So I'd go for the 7600GT OC.

I really dont want to go OC, I want to stay far away from it. Hmm thanks for the suggestion, I want to go to 7800+ thoe.

Ohh look ...........OcUK GeForce 7900 GTO at £200

Virtually identical to the 7900 GTX....3% slower but about £100 cheaper
