These are tips to staying alive and how to maximise the kills you get. (I'd appreciate if people dont look at my stats and flame me about that)

Ill give tips for each class.

Assault

1. Use your grenade launchers.

2. Before engaging  an unaware enemy,  throw a smoke grenade away from you so that the person looks for you  there.

3. Always keep moving, dont prone or stay in the same spot waiting for someone to spawn.

4. Use your knife, its there for a reason. If you want to stay alive for a long time then knife a person thats  unaware of you and is by himself. Using a gun just draws everyone to you.

Spec-Ops

1. Always aim to keep out of sight so that if a tank approaches then you can c4 it before being killed 50 times.

2. If you are alone in an enemy base (No friendlies with you) then place c4 in spawn points and other used areas and get out of sight. Blow it when you are on low health.

3. Also i forgot to mention this for other kits. If you see a medic kit on the ground and are on low health pick it up (G) and drop a couple of medic bags and then pick your kit back up and that way you'll be on full health again.

4. When reloading in a spawn area drop a grenade at your feet and get out of there. Jumping while reloading is helpful.

Anti-Tank

1. When aiming at a moving target aim in front of it not at it.

2. When aiming at Chopper predict where it is going to move next.

3. Use nearby buildings for cover. Try to stay undetected as AT are normally killed first by experienced gunners.

Engineer

1. When placing Mines look at the minimap, if the enemy base you're placing them infront of is full of friendlies then its most likely about to be capped, Therefore making the place you were  about to place mines the worst spot possible.

2. Always stay as close as possible with the engineer guns and jump alot between shots.

3. REPAIR REPAIR REPAIR (If you are in a tank)

4. When repairing move out of enemy sight (behind tank or underneath it)

Medic

Aaah my favourite kit

1. Drop medic bags frequently

2. If lots of enemies keep moving behind nearby cover after firing off a couple of bursts.

3. Duck and Cover (Can use vehicles to duck behind)

4. Drop medic bags before going into battle.

Support

1. Drop ammo bags for other friendlies

2. Always prone when using support guns.

3. Use pistols if extremely close.

4. Support guns CAN be used long range so use it.

Any tips for me to add are most welcome.

Thx

After seeing some comments i decided to produce a more in-depth guide.

Ill edit that sniper one.

Great tips for newbies, but old for those of us already playing for a while.  What else you got?

Okay I'm ignoring the other portions of this and concentrating on the sniper portion. Some basic common-sense advice in it but there's a lot of misconceptions and frankly just plain wrong info too. Since you've spent so little time sniping I think you really should have skipped trying to go into any detail entirely.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

2. Know your sniper weapon systems. The most effective rifles for sniping are closed bolt action rifles...
As opposed to what? An open-bolt action? All bolt-action rifles fire from a closed bolt.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

3. The damage effectiveness for each sniper rifle varies per weapon. The strongest weapon is the L96A1 sniper rifle. A single body shot from this gun will reduce the enemy's health to 5%. The M24 and M95 rifle's body shots will only reduce an enemy to 10% health.
Bollocks. The M24, L96A1 and M95 do the same damage (normally) on unarmoured classes, taking them down to two bars. The M95 takes armoured classes down to two bars, the other two down to 40%.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

4. Learn how to sight, range, and tell how fast your target is moving. The target range for the Barret m95 is 200 meters, after that you must use the drop scope...
Wrong. Bullet drop is continuous so it has to be taken into account long before 200m for all guns.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

Never send more than three shots at a single target. Rotate fire.
This is a matter of opinion. Personally I won't let go of a lone target in clear view (like a sniper prone on a hill) unless circumstances change and I can't stick with them because they move or I have to.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

Take some time between shots to make it harder for them to pinpoint your position.
Since the bolt-action rifles all kill with two hits think about this... especially against another sniper you want to get him dead in as little time as possible if you didn't get a kill with the first shot, so why wait and make his job easier? And at range he won't be able to pinpoint you merely because you're shooting.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

* Cranes are extremely effective places to snipe from, as they are high up, and some people falsely believe they are bad, so people don't always look there.
Any sniper worth his salt will scan a crane for another sniper regularly throughout a match. And as I've covered in a past post people sniping from a fixed position like this tend to become wedded to their spot, often making them the easiest targets for counter-sniping. You can take out entire sniper squads/teams from a single vantage point without getting a single shot in returned fire at times.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

13. When you put your reticle of the scope on your target in a short range shot you will want to make sure you take the enemy down with only one bullet. The best way to ensure this is to aim for your enemies forehead or scalp, if you shoot your enemy in either spot you will get a one shot one kill.
Unless the shot doesn't register A rifle shot followed by the quick switch to the pistol to pop off a couple of shots is also a workable method even at short ranges.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

14. If you cannot get a head shot on your enemy, shoot at whatever part of your enemy is exposed usually one shot from a sniper rifle on the body of most units in the game will cause 3/4 damaged to be assessed to your enemy thus making your second shot very simple and a body shot will assure his demise.
The damage amount is incorrect, as well as disagreeing with what you posted above! Sniper-rifle hits will normally do the same amount of damage regardless of where you hit.

Shooting at whatever part you can see, even just a foot, is a good tactic though.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

16. Long range sniping: Over 100 metres the game tries to calculate for bullet drop.
Tries to? And bullet drop is continuous; it's just that the amount varies with increasing range.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

17. When setting up for a long range shot, you will usually go into the prone position. Spend a second or two to settle in.
Not necessarily. Since there's very little penalty when standing for a sniper rifle if you're using either the M24 or L96A1 it's often fine to stand and of course if you have cover it's required for pop-up shooting technique that many snipers now use.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

20. If you have to take a long range or short range moving shot you do not really need to lead your enemy much.
Eh? Lead is dependant on range (bullet's time to target) and the enemy's speed (since he'll have moved further if moving faster than if moving slower).

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

21. DO NOT shoot at enemies that are moving erratically, i.e. jumping around running in circles or zig zagging. These are pointless shots and will waste ammo and expose your position.
Unless you can hit them This sort of shooting is a philosophical thing for each player to decide upon for themselves. I won't take them a lot but I will make the effort sometimes; other snipers will expend as much ammo as necessary to take a single target down as a matter of course.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

22. Position the reticle for the long range shot on your enemies head right at the scalp. It will seem like you are adjusting for drop but it is really just because the enemy is so much farther away.
Bollocks. For long range you have to aim above the head if you want to hit the head; this is sniping 101.

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

24. Close quarters combat: Your pistol, claymore and grenades are your only CQB weapons.
Forgetting about the pointy thing we all carry?

The_Punisher_1987 wrote:

Pistol: Aim for the head with your pistol otherwise a decent enemy will finish you off very quickly.
Contradicting yourself much? Only two points down you say to aim for the torso!

Why shouldnt I fire at a tank from the front??

I can take out PLA and MEC tanks with one shot and USMC with two.. It doesnt go faster if you hit him in the side or rear..

Oh yes it does dude. Only marginally usually but its the difference between a flame kill and the driver running away.

One other thing, instead of going prone down steep hills, jump all the time whilst pressing 9 repeatedly. this way you NEVER get hurt.

I've decided that instead of just me being the person making the guide and thinking of tips, how about everyone contributes, that way this can be made into one big tips thread. and ill continuously edit the first post to include any new tips anyone else has.

That way we get all kinds of tips not just from 1 person.
