Routers...wireless...bf2... I guess if you like playing commander a lot go for it!

Else hardwire, and get a switch or hub. Routers are the suck, and wireless is even worse for FPS games.

Get a wireless so you have it .. but i would keep your playing system wired.

Router modem??  Im sure its just a router.  Also i think it might be better to use a wired connection for 3 computers playing 2142.   Also ive never really got any performance boost from different routers (except for wireless connections).  Just get one of those Linksys ones that use a linux firmwire.   right now im using my old Microsoft MN-500 for my dorm.

If you got a prob getting all the wires just use your power cables

How does that work?
like a charm

no serious its so easy to do an idiot can do it just put a UTP cable in one plug (from the router/modem)plug that in a power socket and at you PC put the second plug in the power socket and go with the UTP to your PC

I'm a little skeptical.  Does it really work well?  Like have you had a wired connection before and can compare it to that?

PDF data sheet
For most people it works great (except on really old houses that has like say pre ww2 power system)

its not as fast as a normal wired connection its 85Mbps but has no influence on your game speed
for games you latency or ping is the most important factor
and a wireless connect increases your latency a lot this
this keeps it about the same as an normal wirred connection

+1 for you, I'll look into it more.  but if this works, it helps me solve a current dillema! thanks.
