Cant unlock Battlefield 2: Special Forces Guns - please help!!!!

Hi all,

I purchased the Battlefield 2: Special Forces from Best Buy last week and installed the patch update v1.12. I can play online fine and recently got promoted to staff sergeant.

I have an unlock option right now every time I load up the game but ONLY BF 2 weapons are available such as (Anti Tank – DAO 12, Engineer - MK3A1 Jackhammer, Spec Ops – G36C, and Support – PKM)

My unlock weapons in BF 2 so far are G3, L85A1, and M95. When I click on the BFHQ button, under the kit info, I select medic and see the L85A1 as an unlocked and if I click on the right arrow button, I will see the G36E.

I am looking forward to get the G36E or the F2000 but these guns are unavailable in the unlock option.

I did uninstall everything and reinstall BF 2, BFSF package, and the update v1.12 in this order but still can’t unlock the SF weapons (G36E).

If anybody has advice on how to fix this problem, please let me know. Thanks in advance!!!!!

i havnt heard this one before,

1. make sure you have scored points in bf2 SF
2. thats all i can think of but you have stated that you have done it so im not sure what else to tell ya.

you need to have the bf2 unlocks for a kit before you can get SF unlocks for same kit. but you have that requirment filled too. ummmmm shit i got no idea hen sorry fella's

Hmmm interesting.... When i first started the game and played for a bit i clicked on bfhq and all of a sudden it gave me 3 unlocks... i was also promoted recently and it gave me 2 unlocks for bf2 guns and bf2:sf guns

I have unlocked g36c, m95, g3, and l85-whatever..

And when I play the normal bf2, and is supposed to choose kit, i can see a picture of those fancy-schmancy weapons.

When I click to select them I just get the "old" unlocks..

Hi All,

I got it to work last night. Here’s what I did: I put in the BFSF Cd1 and play a couple of games on SF servers. When I logged off, I saw the unlock screen and it gave me 2 unlock options. I selected the G36E and the SCAR-L. The bottom line is you have to earn some points on the SF servers to get the SF unlock weapons. I just read the replies and “The_heart_attack” posted number 1 is correct.

1. make sure you have scored points in bf2 SF

Yes, you have to physically unlock the guns before you can use them, and they are only available to be used as unlocks in regular BF2. If you are playing SF, the new guns are actually default guns for some teams and so cannnot be used unless you are that team.

I've bf2 and bf2sf and i've create a new account, now i'm corporal so i've earned 2 unlocks (lance corporal & corporal), i've unlocked G3 and F2000, it's normal that the F2000 can be used only on normal BF2 maps and not on BF2SF?

So what you are saying is that now that I have special forces I can choose to get those new weapons instead of the old inlocks when I go up one rank?

any of the old unlocks you have, you get the new one of the same Kit.

If you do NOT have the G3.. then you CANNOT get the F2000

I unlocked the m95, g36c and the L85 in bf2, when i got promoted to staff sergeant i also installed sf and i got 3 new unlocks when i turned on the game for the second time. I got the g36e, the g3 and f2000.

well.... i have all the unlocks for bf2, and most of the unlocks for SF. i have no problems using my unlocked guns in reg bf2..... when i play SF though, i cant use my unlocks... for example, i want to snipe with my L85A1 and im stuck with the m-95 wtf... I cant use my Scar-L in SF (or any of my other unlocks for that matter) either!!! plz help
