I know this may be an old topic, but Searching I didn't find a satisfactory topic posted before about it. I'm buying a laptop to play BF2 on the road (I'm taking a long trip) and the one I'm going for is a Toshiba with a
Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83MHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB. I know BF2 does hate the Dual Core processor, so, will I be able to play it with this processor (without having to set process affinity)? I've known that this was an issue that even required a driver update for the amd dual core processors, but what about the Intel ones?
The other specs for this laptops are:
1 GB Ram memory DDR2
Nvidia Go Geforce 7300 256 MB
XP Pro SP2

since when did bf2 hate the core duo cpu... i got a core 2 duo and it runs 99fps avg =/

I'm not talking about Core 2 duo processor, I'm taking about Dual Core processor, it's not the same thing.

They are still Dual Core.. BF2 Runs Fine on Dual COre... My Opty 165 System Runs great... My Acer 8204 with T2400 runs Great.... (2gb Ram and X1600 Graphics)

Dual core runs ok (ive got a pentium D). All looks good, apart from think about updraging the graphics card cos a 7300 kinda sucks.

Ive also gotten the Intel Core Duo 2.0Ghz. BF2 runs fine.
