Hello all,

I have been playing BF2 for a while now on all low settings, with view distance on 100%. So I decided to run on high and got a whole lot of lag. What do you (techies) believe I could run BF2 effectively on?

Specs: Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz
Memory: 512MB RAM
Hard Drive: 80 GB
Video Card: Radeon X1300 Series
Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [A000]
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2

Also, Fraps tells me that I average ~70 FPS.

doubling or tripleing your ram would definitely help

You might be able to run it on Medium settings, but as stated before get more Ram

Ok I will look into getting about 1 or 1.5 GB of ram, anything else?

more ram + better processor. rams more important though

dont go for 1.5 GB, because it will not run Dualchannel! Go for 1GB first, should fit your requirements.

And if your Fraps shows 70FPS average, this is pretty fine with your rig. Maybe a GPU upgrade to 7600GT could be usefull, but not necessary!

Low-Medium on all settings with your current PC will do. If you want to run higher, you should consider getting an extra 512 mb's of RAM and a better processor.

Providing he has Dual channel. Consider he is running what looks to be 1 stick now.
