romove you bf2 folder from the my documents folder and start the game again. that is what i had to do with mine. the display setting you had previously may not be compatible with your new monitor.

Go into your My Docs folder. And delete the littel folder in there called Battlefield 2. The reason being is because your settings are kept there and since your settings arent compatible with your new stuff you just delete this and get fresh ones the next time you launch BF2.

What your saying is To erase my bf2 folder your crazy. How about the instead is there a settings folder I can change the resolution of the game without the game actually starting. This sucks sitting on a new mon. and not being able to use for anything but forum posts and web surfing. I need to KILL DAMNIT.

I had a similiar prob. The refresh rate is wrong. Set it to 1600x 1200 @ 60hz. You can send me a pm if you still have probs.

Have you tried  http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1030  ???

That worked for me (have an Dell 2407wfp)

Have you tried deleting the video file in your profiles (My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles) ???

And since that Battlefield dosent suport widescreen you have too edit your target line in your battlefield shortcut too somthing like (C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200)
