First, before anyone says it; I dont use hacks. Feel free to check my stats or play online with me. I got this in an email after I signed up to a certain hacking site so that I could research the sort of hacks people use.

Read about what they are releasing. Very worrying that this sort of thing is available. Look out for these.

Introducing Teamhack:

With the recent team member addition of P47R!CK (famous CS Cheat coder) We could only expect some great new hacks, and Teamhack is no exception. Teamhack fools the server into thinking you are on the enemy team as you play. This means that you can enter enemy veichles with the enemy inside, Revive enemy teammates and kill them again (force statpad, heh) You can use commander hack with team hack, and use the enemys assets on themselves. Also, both teams will always see you as a friendly with teamhack on, which means nobody will fire at you. You can also spawn on enemy spawnpoints. And the best part about this is that enemy AA's and missles wont be able to lock onto you anymore. Check out the <twats> homepage for videos.

BF2142 News:

Well I wouldnt say its new nor scary and for the next 50 people whining about 2142 hacks its the same engine as BF2 so the same hacks will adapt easily.

All in all not that hard to spot or stay away from.

btw I can understand the reason to 'register' and 'research'. 10 years ago I would have done the same, because I am curious of what is possible and how it is done. Lately I don't have the time for it anymore.

Besides, I have never understood the point in spending £30 on a game and then running hacks on it. I assume it is so players can appear superior to others but surely thats just a hollow victory?

As I say, I just wanted to let people know. If I knew someone was going to kill your pet dog you would want to know. Completely different level but the same principle.

I've been a victim of this hack, no shit.

I was on Karkand, and (wish I could remember the name) some bastard was at the Gatehouse sniping from the North end of the road guardrail that overlooks the water.

I was at the far North end of the train accident way the hell over by the out of bounds line, sniping guys headed to the bridge. The thing was he was basically surrounded by the other team. Seemed fishy.

Well, the guy's name was blue and I thought he'd snuck over to a prime spot and was just that good, hiding in plain sight and all. Then he shoots me. I say "Hey man cut that shit out I'm on your side." Then he pops me again and I'm dead.

I spawn at Train Accident and run to the same spot, and he tags my ass again.

I just think maybe I've got the red glitch so I bail out on the server and log back in. I kid you not the same bastard is still there and I see someone else say "dude, quit shooting me I'm on your team."

I check the score page and he most certainly is not on either of our teams. So I tell everyone in the server, shoot him twice, and he disconnects.

That hack won't work for long, but it's a killer for a few minutes.

By the way, edit: How in the hell do you actually even USE a hack? Seems like it would be a hell of a lot of work just to get caught in a short period of time.

I had this happen to me too on Karkand. I ended up killing the guy who kept reviving me and killing me over and over out of frustration...and I didn't get a tk! Now I know what was up with that.

Game hackers are just the lowest of the low in humanity. Anyone with a normal brain would get tired of cheatin within five minutes.. because of exactly what you said.. its a hollow victory.
