I have to say the main base punish thing is excellent, proves the point that I've heard mentioned that if you can go to the mainbase you should be allowed to. I wonder if the fine print in the terms and conditions of releasing a mod mean that Dice can nick the code and put it into their 'mods'... I don't really see the problem with entering uncapturable bases (they have defences, after all), but at least if it was enforced by code like in PoE2 people would know whether the server they are on allows it or not.

My only, and I mean only, gripe is that this isn't ranked. I don't mind so much because I've played ranked for a year or so but for lower ranked players this will be annoying.

Very awesome mod indeed! How the hell do you fly the choppers? They're totally different from Vanilla... I can't get the damn thing to circle around a perimeter...
Played poe2 last night and wow. Amazing what those guys have done and it really shows ea/dice as the egits they are. Awesome work, well worth the download. The only bad thing about poe2 is i feel guilty for not paying for it. Again, excellent job. Download NOW maggots!(© LtGoldman 2006)

my mate just installeed this, and now when he opens regular vanilla BF2, he gets CTD on clicking 'Join Game' everytime!!!
We have tried the CTD fix program....and it did nothing...
we have tried a full reinstall and still it did nothing

Been playing this mod and its brilliant, its so much better than the original battlefield 2, a great deal of time and effort has been put into this by the Point of Existence 2 team and I would like to say THANKS, also Point of Existence 2 should be allowed to use ranked servers.

Yeah, the only draw back is the no UAV support for the commader.

AA pickup is great, I shot down about 4 jets in a matter of minutes... all about positioning...
