Greenday had their day a long time ago. When Kerplunk was new, it was pretty good, but these days, it all sounds the same as 50 other bands on the radio. Blink182 had few songs I liked, but most of it was just like everything else, and got lost in the noise.
In the end, I'd still rather have both of those bands than the crap I'm hearing lately (Yellowcard etc)

as for me it's blink. i used to listen to them a lot a few years ago and somehow greenday just... cant describe it - they're just not as catchy as blink.

I think Green Day made his best album in 2004 with American Idiot. The lyrics are way much better than any of Blink 182. So, I don't see any point of comparisson between both.
Greenday early were good(nookie, nimrod) but become political and are now complete trite ass crap.
Blink 182 had 2 good songs(dammit,josie) and then appealed to the lowest teenage denominator, bunch of juvenile punk trash.
