BF2S Forums What kinda graphics card do you think i would need for 2142?

BF2142 uses the same engine so if you run them on low at BF2 it'll be the same on BF2142, maybe a bit jerkier.

GeForce 7600GT is an ok card and only $160 in US on newegg

and i play a 7600gt card..got it for $160.....i run everything on bf2 maxxed out......thats a good deal

At least you can upgrade, i'm stuck with this Radeon 9600 because of my 250-watt power supply.

I would get the nvidea gforce 7900 or w/e its called all settings on high

Lol its not hard, its just pull out the old one and put in the new one connect the molex and bam, (Lol I don't mean your computer blowing up) your done.

A 7600 would see you playing on high/meds, a 7900 would see you nicely enough on high.
A decent 6800 would be fine as well giving you medium graphics.

And yes don the 7950 GX2 gives about 60-70 fps in normal play, drops down to 30ish though when you get out of a pod....

Not a 9550, thats for sure.

Yea, I'm not sure why it drops that low, it's most likely caused by all the particles when you hit the ground in a pod. Oh and in the titans I get about the same 60-70 fps, just the stupid pods that seem to drop it.

Oh and I didn't pay £400 for it, got it free, of my good friend the insurance man.

And while I'm typing does anyone know how to make the resolution of 2142 go up to 1280 x 1024, tried changing the video settings but that didn't seem to work...

hmm, so it appears it helps if you turn the gfx card fans on full bore instead of on "silent"
