This is what he's been talking about all along. He stated several times that these types of test were ongoing and could lead to resolving the morale issue within stem cell research. I personally hope they've found a way to do this so everyones interests are best served.

I personally don't have a problem with using excess embryos for research, but I'd don't see how this resolves the ethical issues that other people have.
