Deluded. 'Total war in the middle east' - I think they're having a pretty good stab at total war right now with or without US presence. 'Terrorism killing thousands daily in the western world' - oh yeah! Because that was exactly what it was like before the Iraq invasion! LOL. Another propaganda monkey.norge wrote:
okay so i am a republican, and would have voted for bush instead of gore/kerry. BUT he is the most retarded president ever. But if kerry had been elected he would have pulled all troops out of iraq and you know what would have happened then? total war in the middle east and terrorism killing thousands daily in the western world. Bush is stupid, but his advisors and people that he surrounded himself with are brilliant. especially dick cheney. without cheney the us would probably be in shambles. Aanyonne that says cheney isnt the best vice president is ignorant. However, bush's intelligence is about as good as the former president l.b.j.

He is showing a cause and effect and you misinterpreted that as being a fact before the war. Careful chief, read next time.norge wrote:

I'd say using the phrase making progress is a bordering on the hilarious. Progress towards what? Civil war in Iraq? Splitting Iraq into three countries? Eradicating all muslims? Allowing Israel to annex and occupy land that doesn't belong to them and to treat the residents like an untermensch? Overlooking unsavoury dictatorships in the middle east because they are 'allies'? Alienating traditional allies in the rest of the western world?AlbertWesker[RE] wrote:
And Cam, I think he just meant to say that at least we are making progress there and taking the fight to the terrorists instead of waiting around. Maybe you can't feel the same way because your country wasn't attacked unprovoked, however:And this is what norge wrote:CameronPoe wrote:

Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know not to hand over security of our ports to an Arab nation now does it?Navyholdi99 wrote:
Hindsight is 20/20. It sure is easy to sit back and criticize the President when you haven't gone through the same experience and make the same decisions with the same info available at the time. Political party doesn't matter...how do you know you would have acted differently if you were in his position? You can't...but since you know the outcome of his decisions now it's easier to criticize. Sure...things haven't gone as planned...but I truly believe he is acting in the best interest of the country and he is trying his best.
He definitely isn't he best speaker though...I cringed a little yesterday during his speech. Oh well...
Anyway...that's my 2 cents.
That would be an incorrect assumption.Dersmikner wrote:
Hmmm... well that transcript, assuming it's correct, is counter to what I've heard, but printed proof would be printed proof.
Do we know whether or not that was a curved grading system? I once got a 64 on a biology class midterm at UT, and it was good for the 8th highest grade in a class of 200+.
Even assuming that is correct, an assumption to which I'm loathe to agree, he graduated from Yale. He certainly would then have to have had enough of a GRE score to be admitted to Harvard B School with average Yale grades.
He then graduated from Harvard with an MBA.
Either (1) that alleged transcript is false, (2) it is correct and things were graded on a curve and my understanding that he was an honors student is still correct, or (3) there was no curve to the grades, he got Bs and Cs, and still graduated from Yale and went forward and graduated from Harvard MBA.
As an aside, I would bet that most of you who feel that Bush is indeed an idiot were supporters of Gore, and my understanding is that Gore's grades were worse than Bush's. Does that make Gore an idiot as well?
I'll need to do a little more research.
By the way, when I lived on President Bush's street in Preston Hollow you'd occasionally see Laura Bush jogging, and believe it or not, back in the early 90s when she was in shorts, a jog bra, and a cut off t-shirt she was HOT.
ok, i was going to respond, but you covered pretty well.AlbertWesker[RE] wrote:

1: Didn't know it was required to be american to talk about the elections, which you only could know about being there at that moment. I apologize.
2.You're american and you're wrong. In America you don't need more votes to win, you can still win having less votes than the other guy. Gore had more votes than Bush, only that he stole Florida votes to gain the electors from that state. In fact that is what you vote, electors who then decide for you.
3.If Kerry would have stolen some votes from Ohio, he'd be president, despite the fact that the guy sucks.
2) Well it depends on what you thought he meant, sure Gore had more popular votes but electoral votes are all that matters. He only said you need one more vote than the other guy. Well yeah one more electoral vote, don't be so quick to assume
3) Ummm no!? Ohio was locked up, ok look at these facts:
A) More people voted in the last election than only a couple other elections in the history of the US.
B) Bush received ~4 MILLION more popular votes than Kerry.
C) Bush also received more than enough electoral votes from different states that Ohio didn't matter. (It usually does though)
And at least were on the same page that Kerry sucks
bush won ohio in 04 by about 136,000 votes. thats a landslide compared to florida i 00CameronPoe wrote:
Bush 50.7%, Kerry 48.3% overall. Bush 50.8 %, Kerry 48.7% in Ohio. Hardly a 'landslide'. Particularly impressive when you think about how terrible a candidate John Kerry was. That really says something about Bush.comet241 wrote:

It would seem that your sources portray our President in an undeservedly positive light. Might want to have a look at what else they're telling you as well.Dersmikner wrote:

As I pointed out in my post, the transcript clearly shows that he got a "pass" as opposed to a "high pass". Your contention that he graduated with honors is just not true.Dersmikner wrote:

Right, and as I pointed out in my post, graduating from Yale is no certification that you are intelligent, especially with a trustee as a grandfather and a superstar academic oil man alumnus for a father.Dersmikner wrote:

I would strongly disagree. Anyone familiar with top ten b-school programs will tell you that family prominence and money play HUGE roles in acceptance.Dersmikner wrote:

You're still not willing to admit that you were either wrong or making stuff up? Please. You said he graduated with honors and "kicked ass on the GRE". I call bullshit, and give you sources. Where are yours?Dersmikner wrote:

Considering the record of your understanding so far, I'll go ahead and wait for you to give us a good source on this one as well before I entertain the premise.Dersmikner wrote:
