That's the problem though......like you said "things i've heard in the media". That's one of the biggest problems over here, is that the media is so liberal and only reports things the way they want to. Not just with politics, but with everything. It's total bullshit....they can make anybody look like a complete ass-hat, or change the views of millions of people just by giving their bullshit version of current events. Regardless how you feel about Bush, the media in America blows ass.
Yes because when facts are reported on and Presidental speeches are aired live on T.V. It's all smoke and mirrors. Bush actually publicly speaks like Clinton but the media does voice overs.

Yep I heard that too.  Someone infiltrated Fox news studio's and dubbed the Presidents speech this morning.  Stutters and all.  Amazing.....

Grades really don't make true assement of one persons ability to think.

Bush is not idiot.

Bush is in fact pretty bright when it comes to his image.

If you show a low standard ie. not being able to speak english correctly, then people will not have high hopes of what you can accomplish.

It is a good strategy, cause if you screw up, they call you a moron, if you succeed and pass the goal beyond what it is required, you shock people.

Anyways, you really can not judge a president until he has been out of office for at least 10-20 years. That way you can measure outcomes better and see what the true results of his actions caused.

Judging in the heat of the moment does no good.

I really think bush is not that bad, compared to other presidents in history and the shit they stirred up. J.Q. Adams, A Johnson, Grant, Taft, Hoover, Nixon.

then again I could be full of shit!

There's a novel hypothesis. Bush's poor communication is nothing but a ruse, and at some point he will shock the world with his intelligence. Alas, I have been tricked by his deadpan performance.

Clearly this strategy has proven an overwhelming success.

While visiting England, George W. Bush is invited to tea with the Queen. He asks her what her leadership philosophy is. She says that it is to surround herself with intelligent people. He asks how she knows if they're intelligent.

"I do so by asking them the right questions," says the Queen. "Allow me to demonstrate."

She phones Tony Blair and says, "Mr. Prime Minister. Please answer this question: Your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother or sister. Who is it?"

Tony Blair responds, "It's me, ma'am."

"Correct. Thank you and good-bye, sir," says the Queen. She hangs up and says, "Did you get that, Mr. Bush?"

"Yes ma'am. Thanks a lot. I'll definitely be using that!"

Upon returning to Washington, he decides he'd better put the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to the test. He summons Jesse Helms to the White House and says, "Senator Helms, I wonder if you can answer a question for me."

"Why, of course, sir. What's on your mind?"

"Uh, your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Helms hems and haws and finally asks, "Can I think about it and get back to you?" Bush agrees, and Helms leaves. He immediately calls a meeting of other senior senators, and they puzzle over the question for several hours, but nobody can come up with an answer. Finally, in desperation, Helms calls Colin Powell at the State Department and explains his problem.

"Now look here Colin Powell, your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not your brother, or your sister. Who is it?" Powell answers immediately, "It's me, of course, you dumb ass."

Much relieved, Helms rushes back to the White House and exclaims, "I know the answer, sir! I know who it is! It's Colin Powell!" And Bush replies in disgust, "Wrong, you dumb ass, It's Tony Blair!"

Your good at being selective. Card stacking and other Propaganda techniques. Anything that will make your point with out deflecting from it.

What makes you say that, ht_fly?

When I said earlier that the Bush administration should not be blamed for 9/11, does that count as card stacking, or propaganda?

And I believe you mean "detracting"

From Meriam-Webster Dictionary:

Main Entry: id·i·ot
Pronunciation: 'i-dE-&t
Function: noun
1 usually offensive : a person affected with idiocy
2 : a foolish or stupid person

Based on the definition above I think we can all safely agree with crystal clear absence of ambiguity that George W. Bush is an idiot.

Your selective quoting of my comment and then your remarks!

The remarks, I could agree with.

The rest is me trolling and picking apart your method not your ideas.

Just my perspective!

I could use detracting, but I choose deflecting, since it allows me to say you could be right but you could be wrong. While detracting just basically tries to kill the idea. Plus deflecting fits in nice when you want people to look one way and not the other.

Don't mind me though. I think I'm full shit just like everyone else on these boards. Everyone on here is full of it.

I quoted your relevant passage in its entirety before pulling a quote from context in the same post. I hardly think that's being selective. Nor does it equate to card-stacking, which is completely unrelated.

In any case, I am sorry for any confusion my comments may have caused.

Directfire: you, my friend, are an idiot. please read all of the posts before responding. If you did, you would see a general shape of an argument beginning to form, instead of a quick response to one of the same. When you do that, please respond with some thought behind it, thanks.

tahadar: why do you care so much then about our president if he doesnt affect you at all? The photos were created, not captured, we have proof of that. when you have something of substance, do as i instructed directfire to do and respond with some sort of thought behind your next post. have a nice day.

again, thank you for proving that you do indeed care about the president of the united states of america. I got an idea: move here, gain citizenship, throw your vote in with several hundred million others and hope you can vote him out of office next time.

what? he's already been re-elected?

well then, i suppose the people have spoken.

No, he won't nuke anyone.  However, he is still Commander In Chief.  That is the last place on Earth we should have elected a retard to reside over.  It is an undeniable fact that his foriegn policy is horrible, because of this we have forfeited and lost alliances and treaties that have held for over 20, 40, 60, even a hundred years.  People of the world hate America more than any other point in time in history and we are even more at threat due to invading sovereign nations under the pre-text of "fighting terrorism", never mind the fact that it was phrase coined by him, implemented by him and an agenda pushed on the United Nations even though it lost the popular vote.  People have always hated America, now even more do, and now they have the reasons and motivation to attack.

His domestic policies are even worse.  Our national deficit is astronomical, Medicare and social security are all but dead, corruption and government growth is out of control, illegal immigration is an even bigger problem than before, taxes have been lowered for the rich and raised for the poor, fuel shortages, the hurricane Katrina deboggle, corporate and government outsourcing to foreign nations is ruining the economy and the unemployment rate is increasing rapidly.

The man is so hell bent on finishing Daddy's war and trying to be the big bad cowboy that he has totally wrecked our government, economy and national mentality.  George W. Bush is without a doubt the worst thing to happen to our country since the Great Depression.  He's like a one man fuck up army.  he can't even talk without stuttering or sounding like a complete dumbass.  His speaking skills alone have wrecked other countries views on how educated Americans are, they think were all as dumb as him.

Personally, I think he is a war mongering, corporate puppet, war profiteer.  Do some research into Haliburton and the government and military contracts they have received since war broke out.  Then go look at their profit margins.  Who owns Haliburton?  Dick "I'll shoot you in the face" Cheney.   High gas prices?  Who is one of the biggest oil companies in America?  Exxon.  Condi Rice has a seat on the board of directors at Exxon and even has a super oil tanker named after her.  G.W. even owns a few oil company's.  They are fucking war profiteers, simple and plain.  I'm just waiting for the lone Lee Harvey Oswald of today to line these assholes up in cross-hairs.  That will be a good day for America.

Hindsight is 20/20.  It sure is easy to sit back and criticize the President when you haven't gone through the same experience and make the same decisions with the same info available at the time.  Political party doesn't matter...how do you know you would have acted differently if you were in his position?  You can't...but since you know the outcome of his decisions now it's easier to criticize.  Sure...things haven't gone as planned...but I truly believe he is acting in the best interest of the country and he is trying his best.

He definitely isn't he best speaker though...I cringed a little yesterday during his speech.  Oh well...

Anyway...that's my 2 cents.
