While this is not a serious subject, I would like some debate. Everyone seems to like Futurama (including me). But is there anyone who truly hates it? I can't believe that so many people would like that show.

- Futurama (American TV show, you might not get it or even have seen it)
i like it
I hate that show. I tried to watch it a few times, but I just found it to be extremely boring and not funny.
Bender! W00t!
I loved it, and they're bringing it back for a season or something.
Simpsons > Futurama > Family Guy > American Dad
I can see how it would get boring to some people, but I find it midly entertaining sometimes.
there making a direct to DVD Futurama movie!!! w00t
nice
I love that show. The type of humor is similar to the Simpsons, but a little more clever and with more sight gags.
It makes fun of the future...we can't have that.
Tried it, it didn't take. It lacked what the Simpsons or the Life is Hell cartoons had...

Yes, mildly humerous at times. I've yet to burst out in laughter watching it.
But South Park...
But South Park...
How can anyone NOT like Futurama? Unbelievable.
Only the Simpsons tops it and thats not by very much, Bender is the new Homer in my book.
"Hey, that's my last beer you bastard!!...I'll kill you!!!!"
"Compare your life to mine, than kill yourself"

I watch it when I'm lying in bed waiting for Family Guy.
I enjoy it generally, and really like Bender.
Also, bite my shiny metal ass.

When it first came out I didn't really like it, but it grew on me and now I watch it allmost every night.
i like it
family guy has more adult humour in it where the simpsons is the opposite with futurame kinda in the middle
i like futurama.
"I'm Bender, baby, please insert liquor!"

Futurama is fucking hilarious. I still like the Simpsons, but lets be honest, they ran out of original ideas about 5 years ago. Which to their credit, is pretty good for a show as old as that.
It's great. To cancel it was an abomination of cartoon programming. It's a little more adult than the Simpsons, but is filled with such great satire and simply great comical genious, I don't know why anyone wouldn't love it. If you are an intellectual, think of Animal Farm (George Orwell) in a strip bar. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment because I'm listening to some good old TV...*all hail Hypnotoad*...*ahem*, well yes, and drinking some vintage Slurm, partying down with Slurms MacKenzie and taking potshots at GrunkaLunkas. This show has a great sense of how to use parody to create comical situations and, if you haven't guessed yet Futurama fans, my most recently watched Futurama episode is..."Fry and the Slurm Factory". Long live Hypnoto...I mean Futurama!

Loved that episode with the "what if" machine. Bender was a giant colossal robot and Fry (Did I get it right?) never went to the future. Favorite part, Bender says "Bite my giant metal collossal ass." Lmao great episode.

My sig has a Futurama reference. I like the series -- own all 4 seasons on DVD
Futurama is great. It's the most intellgent television show I've ever seen. No other show would go out and make a joke about quantum mechanics (one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard) or discreet math. They've done countless other background math and physics jokes (several of the writing staff had either a masters degree or doctorate in math or physics) that enhance that already amazing television show.
Also, the show isn't coming back as direct to dvd movies anymore. Originally they were going to produce 4 full length direct to dvd movies but after Comedy Central secured the rights to air reruns and any new episodes produced beginning in 2008, these "movies" instead are going to be each aired as 4 television episodes beginning in 2008 (so, at least 16 episodes are contracted but more are likely due to impressive DVD sales). Sure, the episodes will likely be released on dvd as stand alone movies with additional content (a la that Family Guy one about Stewie).
So yeah, that's the happenings with that show. You can always read up on it at www.gotfuturama.com (no, I'm not affiliated with that site, I'm just a Futurama junkie).
All glory to the Hypnotoad.

I love Futurama. Most people didn't like it at first probably because they where caught up in the Family Guy hype (which I don't take to at all). Futurama has great humor that is adult and yet has stuff for the kids. I believe that Family Guy is slap-stick, what adult humor? If falling down the stair case is adult humor, I am sorry I ever grew up.
The thing about Futurama is that people only really started to like after it got cancelled. Only then did more people find its humor very funny. It uses the future to satire and parody the present day. To understand the show you must understand the current world. Same goes for the Simpsons and South Park.
