This is my first poll, and clearly as there's such a variety of political persuasions on these forums, I thought I'd point out this great political test (http://www.politicalcompass.org/index). Check through the blurb once you've done the test and see which section you fall in to. Comments are welcome. To start, I'm on the Libertarian Right:

Economic Left/Right: 2.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.92

This was posted long ago, but I'll go ahead and take it again...

Ah, I remember this test. I wondered why, as a 'political compass,' it asked questions about your opinions on art, writing, astrology, religion and luck. I'm sure these throw the results of many such tests. Also, it asked some questions with answers in the form of generating double negatives, which is usually to be avoided.

Economic Left/Right: -0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.41

As an avid lover of art and writing, I'm sure I answered some of the questions in the way that the test's writer assumed a 'typical liberal' would, which is probably what contributed to my 'dead-center' results.

The survey is a joke. It must be if YOU got those stats. It seems to churn out everyone as being a libertarian lefty.

I answered honestly, strange, but I agree. Libertarian I am, lefty I am not. Past our minor diferences, most of us probably see things the same.
