Yep you really need beer and weed, because if you don't have that the world is going to end. Maybe if you gave those things up, you would do a lot better in life, other then just money, like owning your own body shop.DirtyMexican wrote:

But i really am not going to bother spending 15 dollars on something that isnt even finalised. Im spending to test the game for them? they should be fucking paying me to test it.ThomasMorgan wrote:
Seeing as how I'm a Liuetenant Colonel with almost 900h put into this game, you'd think I'd agree with you...but I don't.
Do you have any idea how many first sergeants there are out there? Maybe if you said that all Sergeant Majors and higher would get access, then I would agree.
If $15 is too much for you, then either get a (better) job or cut back on something that isn't necessary. $15 really isn't that much money.
What's even worse is that I paid $15 but all the beta slots are already taken. It'll be a few weeks until I can play.
To conclude, please stop whining. Everyone is in the same boat you are.
$15 is a lot of money. You can buy a lot of other things for $15.
Personally, if I didn't have to go back to college this week I probably could've been paid to beta test more games. So I don't see why I will subscribe to FP just to get the 2142 beta, I'll wait for the public release just like I did for COH.

95% downloaded... c'mon, hurry up...
I don't know anything anbout Beta reserve slots. I just thought if you got in you got in. Mind you I didn't get in under the "Fileplanet Subscribers can gert in on the Beta" thing - maybe there's only a limit to how many Fileplanet subscribers can get in.
Sucks that even though I managed to get a beta key I still have to use the public Fileplanet downloaders, (with the half-hour wait or whatever,) to get the damn thing. Stupid capitalists.

paying for a beta.........hmm............fuck EA and fucking fileplanet. What kind of loser pays to test a game? If they were handing out rebates, that would be understandable, but they want me to pay to help them?
15 bucks is pretty much nothing these days, but it's the spirit of the thing that bugs me. Running your beta through a site that charges for membership before you can download seems very 'EA' of them. I'm not going to pay to have access to a beta demo of anything, game or otherwise. It's not like it is even a full, ready to go demo, it's still beta. Boo EA. Bad enough for a demo, something traditionally used as advertising to entice consumers to buy the real thing, but to charge for a beta test...that just shouldn't happen.
IMO, 40 bucks plus (for a year of FP) for a faster download of game demos and such isn't for most folks. 700-800K/s doesn't even matter, as 200-300K/s and up from any other site is still plenty fast enough. I downloaded the FEAR:Combat multiplayer today. 1.8gb at 400K/s+ from a free site and it took the same amount of time as dinner, a shower, and a shave. It's not worth any amount of money to make that any faster.
'better in life' is relative. Sheesh.
Dirty Mexican, enjoy your weed and beer, as they're much more satisfying than a pay to play beta of another BF game.
Reciprocity, It might be worth a direct payment to EA if you got that off the retail price, you're right on that part. As far as what kind of loser pays for a beta demo...I guess that's just BF fanatics, as I don't think I've seen such a thing until now.

Why? because you are right....
You're not paying for the beta you're playing for the FP subrsciption..wich is ALOT more then just the friggin beta for 2142.Reciprocity wrote:

FP is like AOL when you think about it. You pay extra just to have them organize things for you. Other than exclusive downloads, it's pretty much all news that you can get elsewhere, just prettied up in a single interface.
give up beer and weed. your a funny mandubbs wrote:
