So the other day, I was having a bad round, and I felt that whoring a tank for a while would cheer me up.

Naturally, the tank has been occupied for the last 150 tickets by the same idiot who just respawns at main and camps out with the "e" button held down, and then takes the tank on a safari of the map instead of actually using it to help the team.

So, when it was about time to respawn, I shot him in the face and took the tank.

Today, I was MEC, and we were getting manhandled by spawn camping armor at hotel. So I thought to myself "Where the hell is our tank?" After dying instantly upon spawning for like the third/fourth time, I decided that our tank was overdue and I checked. Sure enough, some douchebag is just sitting in it, AFK, probably grabbing a drink and satisfied that no one will take his vehicle.

So I spawned anti-tank at factory and torched him, in an attempt to get the tank and use it. Part of the way through, he woke up (I'm guessing he heard hits from the kitchen) and killed me. So I cut him off at the next spawn, blew him up, ran to the factory, killed him as he respawned, took the tank and drove off.

With a proper tank driver, in both cases, we came back from 50-100 ticket deficits and won.

In any event, people who are goddamn morons in vehicles SHOULD be TKed for them.

Thats what makes me mad if a low rank or a person that just plain sucks is in the tank a higher rank should be able to kick him out so a person that knows what hes doing should use it. I say that you should have to be a certain rank before you have the ability to use vehicles.

Hell no, just cause someone is a 2nd lt and above, does not mean they are great, rank doesnt really do anything, doesnt scare people who see a 4 star general and pee there pants at the prospect of engaging him in an alleyway (though there usually whoring some vehicle).

I do agree though getting him out was a good idea, perhaps there should be some auto kick from vehicle if ur inactive for a while, particularly on karkand though, armour doesnt fight each other unless they mistakingly run into each other, however today I saw two smoking tanks spot each other, drive past and I checked my mini map to see our tank whore repair, and if i am not mistaking through my sniper scope I saw the other doing the same :S. I wasn't sure which one i wanted to shoot!

Still after 1.4 the tank whores can fight each other. Yay

Also, ranks mean nothing, like other people in this thread have already said. They only tell how much time somebody puts in the game, and by putting time in the game, most people get better but some will never get better and stay noobs.
And some people turn into complete asshats when they reach a high rank, it's very frustrating to see a 3 star general camp the alleyways with his tank, as an example.

Actually, I see a growing number of asshats in this game.

i think peeps who are new to this game should take the time and observe whats going on out there and learn from it.. QUICKLY!... read the forums.. see what the gripes are about.. learn from that.. see what will make you a better teammate.. etc etc.. its what i did.. but only for the first couple of days... i wont take a tank UNLESS there is no other vehicle around to get to a spot and ONLY if there isnt others around.. im still a noob.. less than a thousand points lol.. but all i know is that i can suck one on one.. but i WILL try to help the team by TEAM PLAYING!... and right now.. i will assume that the player next to me is better than i am...

i paid 40 bucks for this game... and ill be dammed that the time i waste (lol) playing it will be WASTED just trying to fly somethin or drive somethin that i dont have the skill to do yet... and i didnt pay the money to freakin sightsee on a multiplayer server... i got single player for that lol

i wont punish for tk unless its on purpose... and if you tk me for a freakin vehicle, i will forgive.. once... cuz unless its a jeep.. i aint after it...

im a sniper.. not a fighter...lol

Regardless, it's totally unacceptable for someone to take the only tank on an almost exclusively infantry map and then go afk.

TOTALLY.

ACCEPTABLE.

By TKing those two, I literally singlehandedly won those rounds, and saved all my other teammates countless deaths to armor whores.

So did I do the right thing?

Goddamn right I did.

Shitheads like the ones I was dealing with should be prohibited from using armor.

You did the right thing.

Practice is for single player, or 16 player servers. Not 32 or 64 player servers.
With noobs in a valuable asset, whether it be a vehicle or commander, more capable players are limited.

You usually end up getting raped, and nobody likes that.

I used to never TK, but sometimes it is necessary. I won't do it if the player in question has the littlest bit of brain, but if he's in a tank and goes off the edge of the map, or a helicopter and gets shot down within the minute, he wont be in it next time.

What nonsense are on about, everybody has a right to Drive/Fly, bet when you were a private you got into a tank. Im usually not that bothered who is driving/flying everybody needs the experience, For instance, If somebody is lower ranked than me and they get into a Jet/heli before me im not bothered if they can fly or not as everybody deserves a chance, Hell they might even be better than you think

I usually give em at least a chance in the vehicle before I blow their brains out/take them to the edge in chopper/M-95 them. If they suck horribly, they will die. The vehicles are way too powerful for some noob to be toting around in doing nothin.

I had sort of the opposite just before. A fucking private decided he wanted the APC on Karkand and teamkilled me for it. I was heading for a jeep, so there was no need to do it. Intruiged by his actions, I followed him on the Caps-screen to see him charge down the throat of the MEC hotel and blow up instantly after passing the road blocks. This happened four more times before EVERYONE was teamkilling him so he wasn't able to reach the APC. That round he finished with 1 kill, 47 deaths, and -6 points...

You'd think at some point it's not worth going for the APC...But the shmuck never learnt...lol
