No, there are a few accounts for sale right now, but he has gotten as much info as he can, and doesn't look like someone is trying to sell it (no way he would have sold his pride and joy himself). They have said it is for high scores, but won't elaborate on which ones.1hawaii50 wrote:
kontrol, did you ebay your profile? In the letter on the first page it talks about profiteering from the sale of player profiles. Is maybe that the problem?

Well I've already paid for BF2. I know continuing to play it makes EA money on servers... so by playing I'm still supporting them a little...kontrolcrimson wrote:

However, I'm not going to buy another EA/DICE game. I was going to get Armoured Fury (my G/F keeps pushing me to because I enjoy the game so much) but now I won't.
BF2 was the first FPS game that I had enough interest in to buy since SYSTEM SHOCK (the original). Shogo:MAD and Rainbow Six were gifts... I don't buy FPS games very often. I am personally responsible for convicing 4 people to buy BF2, 2 people to buy BF2:SF and 2 people to buy AF and 1 person to buy EF. When I like something I let all my friends know.
I'll be boycotting EA/DICE from this point.

Back to the topic; I really feel for u crimson, EA/dice really have proven themselves to be wankers in this case! Have'nt played with u myself, but as everybody that has is supporting u i just want to wish u good luck with the appeal.

OK we all feel sorry for the guy, but you all sit there and say EA & Dice should prove he was cheating, but at the end of the day it's there game and i bet they could say it's up to him to prove he was not cheating, how do we know he was not cheating , no-one will know for sure and i am sure how ever much we hate EA & Dice when they Fcuk the game up, they would not just reset stats for the fun of it. That is not to say they have not got it wrong this time, and i am in no way saying the guy did cheat just looking at it from both sides. P.S Unless my stats get reset lol mine are S**t no way i cheat.
he doesent need to cheat plain and simple...demondspawn wrote:

He can't prove he's not cheating unless he gives a recording of all the times he's ever played bf2, and I doubt he's done that.
It's the accusers job to provide evidence, and the defenses job to defend it.
In this case, EA isn't stepping up to the plate and the defense has nothing to defend against.

LOL @ he doesent need to cheat plain and simple... He must of done something wrong to have stats reset that is plain and simple so stop crying about it. God the world is full of innocent people no-one i know ever cheats! how many times have you heard that, and then accused some-one of cheating yourself, and when his friends defend him you do not believe them, its one big circle of lies and accusations.

Lol.. I was wondering when the Karma would flow in, but i realise there is no negative Karma button.
I bet you were all looking for it though. Maybe admins should reset Karma scores from Sympathy threads. +1 y'all will have a cry methinks.
lets march down to EA HQ with burning pitchforks and 2X4's with rusty nails in them and protest to get his stats back. then realise the world is bigger than a fucking computer game, drop our weapons and go home....but i feel for the guy, he should get em back.

They should at LEAST give your 84 points back. bastards
Would you like to view the battle recorders and find where he was cheating in the last reset? Actually, anyone who says he must have been cheating is free to look at them. By EA reseting again (third time now) they have done him a favour, because he has the battle recorders of the games he was reset on, and can prove he was clean. EA won't bother looking, but it would be nice to clear his name, being called a cheat, even on an online game, is not a nice thing.demondspawn wrote:

Which doubter is first then? Surely there are some who have said he must have been cheating would love the chance to see him play on the games that got him reset.
As set forth in the EULA/Terms and conditions, EA can choose at any time to discontiue a service to a user.
Besides, it is something they provide free of charge to the consumer. Getting ranks/stats requires said consumer to play on ranked servers, which are licensed by EA, that also which they can choose to discontinue at will.
Being in the 'market' for the 'marketing' side (money) doens't always help a company acheive a sturdy user base. If they created foolproof code (quite difficult) then we wouldn't have problem.

They may not be obligated to provide a service, but if the average player buys the game based on the ability to have tangible record of the gaming achievements, then they have a moral obligation to provide that service. It is not good customer service to treat the buyers of your products badly. If this is a reflection of how they treat their customers, then what faith would you have they would provide customer support in other areas. It is a money making venture, but to continue to make money you should provide decent customer service.
Regardless of whether they are legally obliged to reply, they could have the decency to 1. talk to him instead of sending pre-written emails, and 2. when offered proof of innocence get someone to spend a few moments to at least look at it.
Saying someone is a cheat and then denying any way to prove this wrong is not really good for customer relations, regardless of whether you like crim or not. Some things are smart to do to keep a happy customer base, but it seems they don't really give a toss about customer satisfaction with their product, as long as they get your money.

Service Stat Reset For Battlefield 2 Account(s): Kontrolcrimson
Your Battlefield 2 account stats have been reset due to the following violation
of the Rules of Conduct and Terms of Service.
Violation: Exploitation of game/service mechanics/scoring system
As outlined, you will not violate the Electronic Arts Terms of Service (or
others using your Account) to gain unfair advantage via the abuse of game
systems or mechanics.
You will not exploit any bug in the Service or in any EA product to gain unfair
advantage in the game and you will not communicate the existence of any such bug
(either directly or through the public posting) to any other user of the
Service. .
You will not do anything that interferes with the ability of other Service users
to enjoy playing an EA game and using the Service, in accordance with its rules,
or that materially increases the expense or difficulty of Electronic Arts in
maintaining the Service for the enjoyment of all its users.
Profiteering in the form of account farming or the reselling of player profiles
is not permitted. This is in violation of your end user license agreement, the
EA Terms of Service and the IGN User Agreement. Player profiles are the
property of EA and IGN and are not transferable either free or for exchange of
currency. This is because that by reselling the player profile, the new owner
of the account cannot be held legally responsible for the terms and conditions
of use since they were not able to accept these terms before assuming the
availability of play. A player profile is YOUR responsibility. You are held
completely responsible for whatever happens to this profile by you or by other
users of the profile.
The Rules of Conduct defines that you may not use features of the Battlefield 2
service for any reasons other than what each feature is designed to do. Any
exploitative behavior and activity is not permitted on the Battlefield 2 service
and is strictly enforced.
Should Electronic Arts decide that the sole intent of the actions on this
account were to defraud other players for personal gain, this account will be
immediately terminated. Battlefield 2 exists only because of its community, and
as that sort of anti-social behavior completely contravenes the spirit of the
game, we will remove it in order to protect the rule-abiding members of the
service. Please understand that any additional violations could and likely will
lead to the immediate termination and loss of internet play of this Battlefield
2 account.
If you feel that this action is unwarranted, or if you wish to dispute the
claims of this email, we ask that you please visit the EA Account Administration
site at http://support.ea.com so that they can review any possible discrepancies
of this event. The Account Admin team is also available at that site should you
have any general questions or concerns about the rule or its enforcement in the
game, as we feel it is important to understand the rule completely before
returning to the game world.

which is odd. I had nothing in the stats to warrent this. God i spent 392hours in a tank, yet the top guy still has his stats.....
I was clean, i hate exploiters with a passion, i report statpadders every chance i get.... Fuck i even supported indianscout when everyone picked on him.
If i had done anything wrong, i woulda been reported to internode so fast, and banned, but no nothing like that has happened.
I was even starting to get my infantry to the point were i could say i was good, i even had more kills than bushviper, without the bunny hoppinh! but no, i was still reset. I hope to set it straight though.......
If not ill build the account up and sell it....
I am sorry to say it, but
But it seems EA wants to bust everyones ass for cash, then deny them what they deserve. And give them what they don't want. Anyone say 'Vehicle drops and such fscked up our game'?
No individual/entity has any moral obligation.Poisongirl wrote:

What a crock of shit. KC is one of the cleanest, fairest players i have seen in game (he is also nice). He knows how to score big without resorting to padding/exploiting and was proactive in removing those who would from the servers he played on. BL Krimson, you didn't deserve this and there are so many out there who do exploit the game mechanics everyday simply because EA/Dice have their heads up their own ass when they make a patch.
Let. This. Thread. Die. They're not going to restore his stats. Just stop. Give up.
Please feel free to avoid this thread if it bothers you. As this will be an ongoing problem the thread probably won't die yet.PspRpg-7 wrote:

He does have a point. After Firedouche got reset, EA realized the mistake and gave him his precious stats back. That is not happening in this case. EA said this to him "Rest assured that your account, its stats and the abuse were fully reviewed and the evidence verified before taking any action. " That is enough for me to believe he did something wrong or pissed these EA guys off in some other way. Either way, just play the game for the competition and have some fun. I wouldn't want to be called a cheater, but I also do not put myself in that position by doing things that are against the rules.Poisongirl wrote:

Kontrolcrimson you could look at it this way maybe EA & Dice members were scared of you being better then them at there own game, i mean there are plenty of cheats and stats padders out there with out a score near yours so why are there stats not reset ??? maybe because they are not a threat to the people that think because they made the game they should be be the best at it you never know, but why worry if you are as good as everyone says you are you should get your score back up soon plus there is a new game on the horizon.
