Simply put, licks bushes ass.....
When he isn't sucking Bush's dick, Bush is sucking his.
Where there's muck there's brass
Like most leaders who stay in power too long he has become delusional, Blair is a prick, to concerned what Bush says than what is right. They should get married to each other. aaahhhh Bin Laden could be the Best Man and Saddam the Brides maid.

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Mostly evil for following blindly the U.S. gov, for his actions in the EU union and because the Labour party is not Labour anymore.
I'm betting most people couldn't tell you who the President Of Ireland is without Google. Sorry slightly off topic but not worthy of a new thread.

What? The above post is confusing me! +1 on a job well done!
I dont think Blair is too bad, just hung on too long. Personally I like the guy always seems genuine.
Others may class this as "delusional"!

If you want a laugh check her out on google - she looks like what I imagine Marilyn Manson's mother to look like! She's called Mary McAleese.Kmarion wrote:

I'd put him as a one man band.
He always seems to be "off somewhere" doing important things that only he knows about - and that the public needn't worry their pretty little heads over.
He basically does what he likes i.e. gets his mates ( Prescott ) off the hook when they mess up ( break the law ).
Sometimes he is off being a groupie for his favorite band - "The U.S.A" where he sometimes gets invited backstage for a game of wobbly wheelbarrows with the lead singer.

He has been in power too long and everyone knows it, aside from all the crappy NHS and privatisation of railway and invasions he has made good moves.
I wanted to select multiple options:
Puppet Government/Satellite State of USA
Delusional
Freemasons/New World Order
Operates 'undemocratically'
One man band

in his early years in power ie 1997-2000 after that he made realy bad decisions again and again and we had no one good enough to vote in in his place.Jainus wrote:

Guys you're being too hard with Blair. His relationship with Bush is coz George is friend with Blair's son and they go all around London bars getting drunk.
Blair , mmmmm what can I say. I believe he is a good person who is caught up in global politics and feels that he has to stick with the Bush government because Britain is so reliant on America to keep the economy bolstered. He has however pissed off allot of ppl lately by doing the opposite of what the ppl want. He has changed the face of government through Alister Campbell, the first real British "spin king". They went from being a socialist party supposedly for the ppl, to creating a huge government department who's sole purpose is, not to do what the ppl want, but to convince them to do what the government want. Not very socialist IMO.
I know Maggy started privatizing, but Blair's supposed socialist labor government privatized much more. Even Hospitals and now they are talking about schools too. He is pushing us towards the American model. The ppl don't want this. It makes the rich richer and poor poorer. Our national health service, which used to unrivaled across the world, is a total sham. An aging relative of mine who payed tax and national insurance all her life had to shell out her life savings to get a hip replacement privately because she would have to wait 2 years to get it, in agony.
Blair as a person I think is OK. But he should have been a man and stood up and spoke for his ppl and critazed the Israeli/American invasion of Lebanon and called for an immediate cease fire. His government by getting involved in an unjust war brought death to the streets of the uk and has created such a climate of fear in the country that ppl wont fly in planes with Asians. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2255426.stm
Rant over.

Such as...? Gordon Brown raping the UK pension funds for £5Bn a year so he could setup his 'golden age' that fucked over the people who had contributed all their lives to pensions and found they had nothing to show for it? Yeah, i agree, great idea that one. They managed to create the crisis that they now blame on the Tories (Conservatives)!!Vilham wrote:

Or maybe you mean the education reforms that have devalued the exams that our children now sit and leave employers unsure of what an NVQ in Aboriginal Studies has to do with engineering! Although Tories did start that on as well. Or the "top-up" fees that now mean that the really bright but poor students can't get their degree. Do you have any plus points? Increased bureaucracy in our hospitals, armed services, police forces and taxes. Over complicated well fare state that means no-one (even the bloody government ffs) actually knows how much money they should be getting!
Speaking of armed services, civilian MP's and auditors telling the Services that they can't actually go and train. And why? Because its noisy for Little Johnny and Little Susie and Mummy has a headache... (And yes, this is an unfortunate true story from a few years back when the Army couldn't fire their artillery because the range was "too close to an urban area")
Now heres the real reason; there was no-one better (and there probably still isn't anyone that can do a much better job). On the one hand we had Michael Howard, Iain Duncan Smith & William Hague who couldn't muster a decent policy between them, a drunken Charles Kennedy for the Liberals, a chat show prat for the UK Independence Party or George Galloway who can talk some sense about Iraq... but nothing else!Vilham wrote:

Blair's there because the sad fact is Labour are because the general public believe that they'll fuck it up the least. No other reason
But when Blair goes, look at the choice for replacement is Cameron of the Tory's might as well just stay with Blair.
We stand with the USA because since WW2 we have been the strongest Allies, during the Cold war and after.
All your complaining about Blair kissing up to the US, would you rather have the same relationship as the US and France do, were nothing gets done and they just argue and veto each other all the time.
I think without Blair, Bush would have been alot worse in his policies, because I think Blair has been his voice of reason.
I am happy to Stand with our American allies and would rather have closer ties to the US than Europe with all their stupid Brussels EU rules and in fighting.
But most people are right it is time for Blair to go, its just hard to see a good replacement.

I'm pretty much with these options.

Blair is rubbish. He appoints crap cabinet ministers, he doesn't ever listen to them. He doesn't listen to his own government, he certainly doesn't listen to the public - something like 20% of whom were initially in favour of going in to Iraq (doesn't sound like a majority to me), most of whom criticised the Israeli attacks on Lebannon and he's moved labour way too far right. The Conservatives are more liberal than Labour at the moment.
Blair is a sensible politician on most levels, I give him a lot of credit for standing up to Europe on several issues, mostly importantly the UK rebate.
I put Blair doesn't operate democratically - because if he did he might actually have made a pretty good PM - or if he spent more than two minutes at a time in the bloody country.
If/when Gordon Brown takes over I think we can expect to see a lot of changes for the better.

Well your points about schooling are bollocks... to go to uni you get a interest free loan of 9000 to pay for the top up fees, you dont have to start paying it back till you make alteast 15 grand a year, otherwise your points are correct.Jainus wrote:
