Question about 1.4?

So after reading few threads the patch 1.4 was delayed 24 hours does that mean that it will be released on Wend. of this week , Aug 16 at 12 o'clock midnight or not?

i have no idea. i just lookesd on the bf2 official website and they didnt say anything about the release. btw where did u get these dates from??? all they said was for ppl to not rely on the beta file.

I've got a question really about all of the patches so far...What I mean is, if/when 1.4 comes out, if I download the full version, can I delete all of the othere patches? I thought for sure I could but then one of the guys I play with told me not to. I thought you only needed to keep them if it was the incrimental...but if I have the full patch doesn't that mean the previous patches are no longer needed? Thanks.

just install the full 1.4 patch. no need to uninstall anything

Just download it and install. Don't start deleting stuff. Its not required and you might delete something that you are not suppose to.

Once you patch the game you can delete the patch file if you want. Sometimes the file is nice to have if you have to reinstall the game for some reason. The file you download is only used to patch the game, it does not run the patch in the game.

There is no need to store the older patch files unless you like to play older versions of the game (f.e. a lot of players still play 1.22). If you have to re-install the game just do it in chronological order (BF2 - SF - EF - AF - 1.4 full) and you won't have a problem.

I just went back to 1.03 and there is still 5 ranked servers running 1.03.
Getting ready to make another copy of BF2 and patch to 1.22 to see how many are still running it.

Maybe it aint a patch, its a full program... They could call it patch 2-1.4-2 and sell it for £40 a go...
