oh no, those flatbeds are ass, there's a junkyard full of them right outside my office, but backing into a car potentially filled with explosives with one of them, even if they were more expensive, puts a lot more feet (ok fine, meters) between your ass and hot firey death than the 6 feet of a hummer hood, thoguh I understand that for convoys, time spent stopped directly relates to time spent shot at, and turning a flatbed around would waste valuable minutes, maybe Gunslinger's had to deal with it and could tell us.
The HMMVS actually provide a bit more protection than the Duce and a halfs mainly due to the amount of armor provided on them.
What about a long metal stick.. I'm not even kidding something that's about 20 yards long and reinforced to the front of the lead Humvee

Sniping others for fun? Hard to say. Some people (you know, those with a conscience) may take issue with sniping, since it can often be one of the most pyschologically destructive acts in a war. Others, say, those with no real standard of living other thatn an extreme, blind dedication to those who will the death to the Infidel? I'd say theres at least one Iraqi, merc, etc out there that takes pleasure in ending the life of a Coalition soldier, especially the Infidel Americans. ( not to say that the Saddams Regime doesn't view Uk, etc as infidels too). If i told you that by killing Americans, you would be rewarded with everlasting paradise, virgins, etc, wouldn't you too be happy to increase your chance for greatness?? Even if it mean killing people you already regard as mortal enemies? I'd think it's safe to say that jihadist like killing US troops.
