ok my mouse keeps going to the sides of the screen and idk what to do.... please dont tell me to get a new mouse this is a fairly new mouse
That's...very weird. Is your mouse sensitivity too high or something?
Is the mouse wireless or wired?

I had the same problem when I hadn't disconnected the old mouse. 2 mouses connected made it drift.

Does it have FRICKIN LAZERS?
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
I had this same problem too, but it just went away on its own. I dunno if I changed a setting accidentally, but it works fine now. No new mouse.
its wired and i restared my computer and took the old one out and put the new one in idk but how do i change the sensitivty..and yes its a lazer

it feels like it doesnt want me clicking stuff
Now is it a LASER or an OPTICAL mouse? (The price you payed should determine that)*TS*tphai wrote:

Dark room? I have the same problem sometimes...try more light in the area of "mousing", or put something like a black surface where the moue is (mag, something like that..)
Bad/dark/woody textures play havok with laser mice.

"mouse drift" on www.google.com will give You people with similar probs (and how they solved it). Mostly laptops though.

my dad sayed its an optical mouse and the mouse says it has a class 1 led, and when i put the old one back in its fine..and we didnt pay we got it as a gift from a guy we know (dont ask) he like fixes mice and sells them to people who buy in bulk i should ask him..the weird part is when i got to cotrol pannel to mice it goes even worse like it doesnt want me to change anything lol..also when its on the wood desk its not that bad

i just dont know what to do? i mean when i dont have it on the pad it works fine but i like it on the pad
ok it works now i have it just on my regular desk i think that mouse pad it didnt read it right or soemthing
If you had another mouse available the first thing you should have done was try it and see if you got the same effect... but that was a gimme.

yeah i had like 2 others but they were crap

its to do with the mouse pad texture i had this prob . got rid of it by using a 2ft x 2 ft piece of card as mouse pad , problem gone and heaps of room to move mouse around .
