Ugh, as the front of the BF2 experience, the server browser pisses me off beyond belief. But not to get into that... I'm trying to figure out how to search for specific names in the search field and I just can't figure it out. I want to find 24/7 servers, so I do like "24/7" but nothing comes up. I can't even find the wildcard character to get any search result that has that. I tried searching through the forums but couldn't find any posts (so maybe my searching just sucks, but i still need help!). Thanks guys.

make sure you have the right options ticked on on the bottom (ranked, small, medium, large maps), ...
and if you put 24/7 you should get some results, press enter again if nothing comes up. Make sure the other fields are empty. If you still get no results, something is really wrong.
Oh and don't use the " " quotes (not clear if you use them or not). Try 24 (instead of 24/7) if you still get nothing.
Also make sure you have patch 1.3 (most servers have it) (and they will fix a annoying thing in the server browser in patch 1.4 soon btw)

XFire...don't use the BF2 Browser.
What about for the wildcard character? Anyone know what it is?

I think they left the wildcard character out, I used to know it but now you only have to write a part of the server's name to find it. (not sure though)

part of the server name searches now seem to work, if i type in ziip, there servers shows up yet it does not begin with ziip.
Well I'm still having no luck with the name filter. It just won't work. I remember once I knew how to do it after I read posts about knife/pistol servers and how those people would search for such servers. But not anymore :-(. I guess I'm just gonna have to do some good old fashioned scrolling. (Or clicking on the bar cause scrolling don't work).
