Pollux - I have to admit that because YOU posted this - I was waiting for the "And my mum lost her shirt as she ran over the cat with the lawn-mower" punch line.

The Soviet Union & Nazi Germany were capricious in publishing a photo (say of a group of officers). One of the officers would fall out of favor, be executed and then the photo was republished with the officer magically erased.

Can you imagine how much more effective they would have been with modern video & image editing technology? It's kind of terrifying.

My favorite was the "Hezbulloah Soldier" (He's so CLEAN! And well appointed!) guarding the Israeli plane wreck turned tire fire. Sheesh.

Why don't they just use the real photo's? If they are looking to make an impact....I know, it is a little "distasteful" to our delicate western sesibilities.....but they are real.....

Wait I saw that first guy lying down in "Night of the Living dead".. Well bottom line is that they really can't sell those photo's cause they're not family friendly, or they're just not there. So if they get something a little light like the before pic of Lebanon they make it worse. Something like these they would probably make better like taking the dead body out of superimposing an bang up but not dead baby in the others.

As for the video, I'm sure it's no news to anyone that news agencies love embellishing on their news topics. All about money and ratings. But honestly, couldn't they afford to hire better set workers and photoshop monkeys?

I believe those photograpers/newsagencies made up those photos just to sell them well, as thinking it's anti-Israely propaganda makes no sense to me. The media cares about the money, how to sell more issues of their papers and an eye-catching picture helps in that a lot.

If this flash presentation made you think things are not that bad in Lebanon, you'd better take a look at those photos posted by Tunacommy as they are real for sure.
