After 199 votes in the BF2S poll ""Bush administration: awesome or evil", it looks like results - for American BF2Sers at least - are similar to recent stateside polls.

The latest Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll has 56% disapproving of "the job Bush is doing as president" and  36% approving of it. Our own poll showed that 63% of BF2Sers disapprove of the Bush administration, with 37% approving of it.

When we break down the numbers, we find that 52% of American BF2Sers disapprove of the Bush administration and 48% approve of it. Of the 66 non-American BF2S respondents, 85% disapproved of Bush, with nearly half of all non-American respondentsviewing the Bush administration as "evil".

We can thus reasonably hypothesize, based on this data, that the average American Battlefield 2 player tends to be more conservative-minded than the average American.

It is interesting to note also that the average non-American Battlefield 2 player would seem to be more liberal-minded than the average American (using the American definition of "liberal"). One might think this goes against conventional wisdom that people who sit around playing war against each other in cyberspace would tend to be relatively hawkish and conservative.

Thoughts?

I think if you put evil in red it would match bush's horns.

Well, in all fairness, Bush did liberate the people of a country oppressed by a dictatorship. Most of the people who voted on the poll are too ignorant to make an educated decision on the matter.

Be extremely careful when making sweeping generalisations like that. 'Cos when you get to a debate with said persons you look really embarrassed at how un-ignorant they are (i hate not having double negatives)

Oh yes, liberation. Exactly! Not because Saddam did 9/11, or WMDs, LIBERATION! WHO LOVES LIBERTY? I DO!

I'm assuming that you're taking about the Bf2S poll.

However, what's interesting is that a poll of random Americans uncovered roughly the same numbers.

Would you say that Americans are too ignorant to make educated decisions when they vote?

And if not, why not? That's the reason why our forefathers created the electoral college.

So you're saying we should've left Saddam in power?

And Saddam did have WMDs, but according to many sources they moved them out of Iraq to Syria on the eve of the war. Additionally, Saddam has used WMDs in the past.

World Net Daily? Are you joking? Just because some Iraqi says they're WMDs doesn't make it so. If I say Condaleeza Rice doesn't have a gap in her teeth it doesn't make it happen.

In all fairness, that "some Iraqi" was Saddam's General.

Yes yes, I heard the spiel about the book, it's really questionable still, since the general was told they moved the weapons to syria by some iraqi. It's all word of mouth, no concrete evidence.

So my question is: WHY AREN'T YOU BOMBING THE SHIT OUTTA SYRIA?!

As I see it, there are three possible scenarios.

1. They're in Syria. But no one cares. Or no one is man enough to find them. And the weapons inspectors were complete tools, too.
2. They're in Iraq. But no one has the brains to find them (unlikely scenario here. serious!)
3. The whole WMD thing is a whole load of bullshit.

Oh, yes.  Becuase it now isn't run on a might make right basis.  Oh wait, yes it is!  Maybe liberating them was his aim, but he has yet to succed.

So, what led you to these scenarios? You've narrowed it down to conclusions such as "no one is man enough to find them" or "no one has the brains to find them"? Here I am actually backing up my assertions with some form of proof, yet this is the best you can do? You know Saddam has used chemical weapons in the past. So, what makes you think the whole "WMD thing is a whole load of bullshit"? Could it be that you're a whopping 14 years old and simply have a higher level of education than the person you're attempting to debate with? I think so.

True or not, it still holds more merit than most of the half-assed assertions made in this thread. Saddam's General releases information on the inner workings of his regime, yet some teenager on a forum says it's a load of bullshit without anything more than that to back it up. Who has more credibility here?

Your sarcasm is dualy noted.

I take it that few have actually read the book, Saddams Secrets. I personally am reading it, for the second time, and its quite an informative work, for sure.
