Correct me if i am wrong, but the global score is calculated as follows:
TEAM+COMBAT+COMMANDER=GLOBAL SCORE

Well, i found that most of the BF2 player have a mismatch is score; just a couple:

My score (Denn=)

Global 37,228
Team 13,179
Combat 23,342
Commander 1,487
                      My calc: 38008 (-780)

SlickBF:

Global 45,533
Team 15,809
Combat 28,966
Commander 674
                     My calc: 45449 (+84)

-=RD=- Volx

Global 520,929
Team 105,712
Combat 411,976
Commander 21,960
                    My calc: 539648 (-18719)

So what is wrong? i always thought i was missing points but never recalculated them.
Can someone explain?

Commander kills don't count towards global points since you won't receive points for it ingame..

Read the text again!

The kills wont count but that is not the problem! i know how commander score is made ingame, but it is the GLOBAL score that is not calculated well, so read on

My commander score is the score i got at the end of the game. This problem  has nothing to do woth commander score or kills with commander it is jus simple mathematics a+b+c = d

And EA isnt able to do so.

Interesting... I'm missing roughly 2,000 or just under points from my global score too. Strange...

Try subtracting the amounts for teamkills, damage, and vehicle damage too. I haven't calculated it, but that is probably the difference.

Edit: Although I just noticed that some of the errors are positive....Hmmm....

But teankills are substracted while playing. When have have 24 points and you tk someone, you get an instant -4, so those 'punishments' are already substracted from your score when it is send to EA

Can someone from bf2s; who provide these score from EA, respond or try to get a response from EA?

Just a thought here....

Maybe the x2 for a commander win only counts in game (essentially only making a difference for medals and ribbons) but does not get applied to overall global score.

or

With tk's when you get the auto -4, maybe the additional -2 for punish only counts in game and not toward global.  I also know that if you end a round in negative numbers it only counts on your stats as a zero point round.  So if you have 5000 combat points and then have a round that ends -12, you still have 5000 combat score.  I don't know if a negative round effects your global.

I really have nothing to back up these theories...they're just...theories.

I've done some calculations and in comparison with another stats site, I found that the difference, at least in my case, exactly matches the score lost because of TKs.
check it out by yourselves at

http://www.battlefield2-stats.info/

Sorry for the french-haters, but here again, we have the answer. Just type in you bf2nick and you'll see.

I apologize to those who run bf2s.com : I'm not advertising about another site, I just try to explain the thing clearly.

edit : Yet that doesn't answer the question of how are the points counted after a game.

No, the x2 commander score goes into your stats exactly as you see it after the game. A lot of people's highest scores for a given map are because of command scores too; same thing.

There is no additional -2 for punish!

When playing as commander and you achieve kills they do not add to your score ingame. HOWEVER, they do add to your combat score yet do not add to your global score. The calculation of the global score is a bit more complex than just a+b+c=d

Global score = Combat score + Team score + Commander score - Combat score as commander (nobody knows how many points) - Team score as commander
(e.g. you are commander while using the support class and give ammo to someone else. You'll get a point for resupplies, but this score does not count as global score...)

teamkills are included in the teamwork score, thus they won't make the difference

What about neutralization points?
Stats show captures and capture assists only.

You need to take into account the teamkills and stuff, they are NOT included already, just do it and it will work out.

Yeah, but how is it possible that some people have more points then they should, now all your theories about which scores are not counted, arre not correct.
Then everyone should have less points then they should, but there are some that have more points...

From the french site:
SlickBF

+Combat  29248
+Equipe  15938
+Commandant  674
-Pertes  -90
Score Général  45950

Isnt correct, in this cases the Pertes are not substracted 29248+15938+674=45860 - 90 = 45770
The score system has counted 29248+15938+674=45860 + 90 = 45950

So the more commanderpoints you have the more it will differ.
The more you play commander, the more teamkills you will make (artillery). So ingame the TKs are not counted, but afterwards they are!!

So All commanders doing teamkills are punished!! they only not know it; they know when reading this topic...

Combat Score = Total Kills as Lone Wolf, Squad Member, Squad Leader AND COMMANDER.  Commander kills do not give you a 2 point bonues... however, when bf2s calculates combat score it takes ALL KILLS from everything and times it by 2.

This creates a larger combat score than you should have and will forever create a difference between Global Score and Combat+TeamWork+Commander.

Hope this helps.

P.s. take alook at Volx, he has very few hours as commander and very few kils as commander and therfor his total overall score almost matchs his added score.. look at firestorm.. many commander hours.. calculated score is EXTREMELY off compared to Global Score.
