To fit the needs for college and the following requirements:

Long battery life
Portable
Screen larger than 13" but less than 17"
1.6 GHz or higher
Less than $1500
60 gig hardrive or higher
512 ram or higher (preferably)

I don't care much for the graphics card if it can handle BF2 on the lowest settings.

May I suggest a ASUS A8Jm.

I am not sure your location, but just google it, and there are quite a few vendors selling it, most at about 1500.

Getting a high end GPU will kill your battery life, the exception is the ones from dell, as they really underclock them.

Dont believe me? Benchmark a x1600 Mo and a 7800 Go from a dell and see who wins.
