Within a few weeks to a few months..... i plan to say good-bye to mr 300 lbs CRT monitor thats been through the start of the Half Life trilogy untill now. I am not in any way shape or form in the "know" about LCD monitors.

What should I purchase with a $200.00-275.00 (USD) budget, i'd prefer either a 17 inch or 19inch.

Advice?

Samsung or Dell aren't too bad. Just try to find one with a low..response time thing..You can also poke around the internets and see reviews for misc LCD monitors. And also look at www.bensbargains.net for sales on LCD monitors.

I just bought a 19" widescreen LCD about a month ago. It rocks the casbah. Not many games support WS though, BF2 included. But there are ways to get them to.

I'd recommend the LG L1952TX monitor.  Good response time, DVI input, excellent contrast ratio - all around solid monitor.  I believe NewEgg has it for $230 or so

just spend a night on newegg reading reviews on 19 inchers.  i've seen prices drop drastically on there.  pay special attention too, they have 1 day sales and longer.  with rebates and all you can get a descent 19" for under $200 easy.
