And now the BIG question:

Should I stay with Legit XP pro or go with XP media center...

here is what I use my pc for:

Play MP3 in my house...BF2...C&C decade edition...NFSMW Black Edition and Hoyle Poker.
and I backup all my Disney movie for my 4 years old...

I use Nero 7 Ultra, DVD Shrink, Alchol 120% and will go with McAfee anti-virus

In my opinion, you should stay with XP:Pro. When you look at it, Windows MCE is XP Home with a set of extensions which handle many multimedia interfaces/file types. The system provides all the extra securities of adminstrator and user privileges that XP Home provides. But for the security aspect of XP Pro, you don't have access to those applications. If you want the security features that you have now, stay with XP pro. But if you want to be able to view multimedia easier, MCE is for you.
I run XP Profiessional, and plan to untill Vista is fully released. Then I'll go with the Vista equivalant.

Here is info on MCE.

Hey, don't screw your raptor drives - keep them DEFINETELY.

Unless you have a TV Tuner, I say you just keep to XP Pro until Vista.

AMD will come back strong...with AM2 socket...then I will have to upgrade only the CPU...If I go Intel, like I did for the last 5 years...I'm afraid to regret it again...you see....
Bottom line is that AMD (AM2) X2 is way better than my Celeron 2.66GHz...

AMD has nothing until 2008... and i doubt it will be AM2 socket. intel is going to fuck AMD in the butt big time now, new architecture every two years

AMD will be coming out with a new line of energy efficient AM2 processors with very low stock voltages, thus lower temps, and K8L quad core in '07.

quad core K8L will be only for servers in '07, desktop versions will be out in 2008. 35watt AM2 maybe good, but think how much it will cost since they have to do a lot tweeking in the fabs to get 35watt cpus
