my brother and i are going to build two PC but I'm not sure this system will run bf2 on all high
we don't want to spend money in some fancy stuff and extra components(we just play games and that's all) we just want to get a system that will run bf2 on high, we got  about $1.000 cnds each. That"s all.
This is what we're thinking of:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI w/ Dual-Ch DDR400, Dual Gb LAN, SATA 3Gb/s, Dual RAID, 8-Ch Audio, Dual PCI-E  ($149.99)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2.0GHz Dual Core Socket 939 512K L2 Cache ( Retail Box )   ($179.99)
OCZ (OCZ520ADJSLI) PowerStream 520 Watt Power Supply Adjustable SLI Ready, Universal Connector with BTX and SATA, Ultra Quiet ($149.99)
Maxtor DiamondMax 10 SATA (3.0Gb/s) 160GB 7200RPM 8MB Buffer (OEM) ($79.99)
Corsair Value Select PC3200 DDR400 1GB 184-pin DIMM (VS1GB400C3) ($119.99)
Thermaltake VC3000BWS Armor Jr. SECC Case Black w/ Window($114.99)
Asus EN7600GT Silent/2DHT/256M nVidia GeForce 7600GT(560MHz) 256MB GDDR3(1.4GHz) 128-Bit DVI-I HDTV-Out Passive Cooling Heatsink SilentCool 2 PCI Express Graphics Card ($269.99)
that's a total of $1.094.93
BTW:my brother doesn't like Intel processors so we stick to AMD
any help or comment will be appreciated.

Depends on resolution, may want to throw 2 7600's in there or go with a beefier GPU in my opinion.  Consider another gig-o ram.  Dual channel is much nicer.

lose the dualcore and get a single if your just going to be gaming, and get a chip that has the san diego core(1mb L2 Cache) and dont get Value ram, get something better like the XMS series.

and loose the 7600gt and get a 7900gt, its about the same price

well everything looks good to me, good luck on the build

I'd have to disagree with the RAM suggestion, though I agree with the PSU bit.

Use OCZ for your RAM before your PSU, and performance Corsair (XMS as was mentioned previously) dominates all usually.

EDIT - the 7900 is MUCH better, twice the memory bandwidth for one (128bit vs 256 bit) as well as a better engine at the core.  Many differences, read the tech specs.

Id go for a Seagate or Western Digital HD over a Maxtor for performance and reliability reasons.
I'm not in the US, but over here there are some great deals around on the last of the ATI X1800XT's which can make them a great buy.

I don't see a sound card in that list - the sounds are considerably different with a decent sound card!!

he already said he doesnt want intel.

I personally would buy an E6600... but an AMD X2 is good too.
