I am debating on whether to upgrade my video card or getting a new case/cpu/mb/ram and wanting to solicit some opinions.
Here is what i currently have:
p4 3.4ghz
radeon x800xt
2gig ram
raptor 10k rpm hd
x-fi xtreme music sound card.
Now my problem is that it is a sony vaio case and doesnt give much room for expansion/cooling (especially for the pci-express slot (which it only has 1). And it has crappy cooling at best.
Given the recent release of conroe, and the new dx10 cards coming out in the next 6 months or so (correct my timeline if i am wrong) Do yall reccomend getting a new mb/case/cpu and waiting on the card, or getting a new card (something along the x1900/7900 line) and then when more options are out for conroes, upgrade that?
Also, for any overclockers out there, give me some good reccomendations on MB's for conroe, and which processor they would suggest to get to OC.
Conservativly i am guessing getting a top of the line video card that will last me for a year or two, and then wait on new cpu.

PS: does newegg not show any conroes on their website?
